    NOKIA 1100 worth $32,000 usd

Its seems that there are a a batch of flawed NOKIA 1100s manufactured in Germany which allow for the cloning of other phone lines. The 1100 was implicated in a European bank transfer scam and it is reported that criminals have payed up to 32,000 usd for this rare kit.

Criminals will pay $32,000 USD for a NOKIA 1100

It seems that the NOKIA 1100 is the most expensive phone in the world - well a particular batch that is. This particular model was manufactured in Bochum, Germany and comes with a flawed software/ hardware which allows it to be manipulated and used to assimilate (CLONE) other phone lines. The 1100 was implicated in a string of bank transfer scams and is highly sought after. It is reported that one such phone was purchased for a massive $32,000 USD.
In my opinion the bankers are at fault here as they are sending crucial mTANs (temporary transaction authentication numbers) as an sms for authorizing online money transfers - and this is what criminals are taking advantage of with the cloneable NOKIA 1100.
    - Nokia refutes the claim that such flawed NOKIAs exsist.

Disclaimer: If this is an answer to a TECHNICAL QUESTION, then MY ANSWER is correct, even if its contradicting something that a tech support rep, or anyone else said. I am not giving you the answer YOU WANT, I'll give you the answer I know is CORRECT.
If this is about CARRIER POLICY, then you should probably be aware that carriers change their policy unexpectedly, and inexplicably. Even if the answer is correct when posted, it could very well be wrong in a day, or week.

there was a bug in the hardware of the 51, 61 and 71 series phones. if you shorted two of the pins of the accessory port, you tricked the phone into thinking it was in car mode, therefore it auto answered, if you had a silent ringer, you could just leave the phone somewhere, and call it, and it would pick up whatever was around it.

i think thats what you're referring to
