Thumbs up Kudos to nhanson and aRBy!

I downloaded nhanson's drivers & CHMC, followed aRBy's instructions and downloaded my ringtones without a problem.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Now that I have the cable I'm wondering what other neat stuff can be done with it...

Ordered it up last night, thanks for the link.

I suppose with this technique, one might be able to find the PTT barge tone for the phone in one of the directories and overwrite it with something different/louder as well?

and the cable was only a few bucks and works great...
I downloaded and installed those files. I plugged in my phone and the Add New Hardware window pops up asking me to install software for the phone. What do I do now?

Got all the software. Using a cable from my lG 8350 and it works fine (the travel charger also works). CHMC PST 1.2.0 is able to read from the phone. When I go to QPST Configuration I only see 2 com ports. One is in use and one is "waiting". Don't see a disabled port. I followed all of the steps. Is there another step I need to do get another com port? So close......

Go to CHMC PST and plug in your phone. On the top click on select port a list of com ports will be displayed and there will be one with a tick. That’s the port your phone is using.

Now finish up with CHMC and close that program. Open QPST configuration click on add new port. Put in the port number that the other program said your phone was using, something like com4 and click ok. Your phone should then appear in the list.

Any way I guess using CHMC PST unlocks the folder. I have tried it several different ways and for it to work you have to click the “read from phone” button at least once for the folders to become unlocked.

    >>Click Here<< and like I said I hope it help.
The step in QPST EFS Configuration when I look under the list of ports, there's COM1 and COM2 and both of them say "Waiting". So I go into Device Manager and look under ports and find that the Boulder is listed under COM5. So then I click on "Add Port" and COM3, COM4, and COM5 are listed, I add COM3 and COM4 but they are both enabled. But when I try to add COM5 an error message comes up saying "There was an error enabling COM5. The port may not be working properly or may be busy. (-2147467259). Whats the problem?

Its waiting for those ports to become available, they could be being used by another program, are either of the ports listed the one your phone is on? If so, make sure the other program is not still running. Also, maybe the drivers are not properly installed and its waiting for that.
