I am so pissed today... Why do people walk in a store, go straight to the counter and expect service, If I am handling business with someone else they should wait their freaking turn. OMG especially if your not spending your money but asking to charge a phone or some ridiculous asanine question that doesn't involve metro in any way...

Don't feel bad.. REMEMBER you are dealing with the bottom of the bottom Demographic groups. These groups are the ones that should have been thrown down the pit 300 style.

Where do these people come from? Where they not taught manners? I greet them and am ignored.I was warned about low class but this is ridiculous.

Why do customers think they can pull one over when they root their phone and mess it up...had a customer come in with the M835...all bloatware was removed and the phone was running very smoothly (props to them for that) but when i told them it was rooted...they actually stood here for 10 minutes explaining to me how they're the only ones with access to the phone and that somebody must've hacked them through out internet connection.....geez....be upfront and maybe i'll show you how to get your phone running again based on my knowledge.....smh

Do any other dealers feel like Metro has just pulled the ****ing rug right out from under us with this Admire/Esteem backorder in the absolute BUSIEST TIME OF YEAR???? I've probably literally lost over 100 handset sales, if not more, due to Metro's lack of inventory. As a sales rep & store manager, this has caused a HUGE revenue, as well as commission and bonus loss on my part. WTF are these idiots thinking? We had monstrous momentum going into the beginning of Feb, and then the minute Admires & Esteems dried up - it fell on it's ****ing face. That momentum CANNOT be recovered, those people who walked out because we didn't have the most popular, most heavily advertised handsets that they wanted, will NOT come back - at least 80% or more won't. They took their tax money that was burning a hole in their pocket, either went to another carrier, or went and blew it on something else.

things like this are the reasons i'm not in the industry anymore... cutting checks to cover lower cost of phones to customers to compensate high prices dealers paid for phones... this isn't verizon, we don't want to pay a high dollar for the phone and be compensated for selling it cheaper than cost and wait for a check... we could be selling verizon, sprint, tmobile, etc and deal with such issues...

To some degree, I feel for the guys who must order, from the manufacturers, for Metro because Metro still doesn't "get it". Tax refund season is the time to bulk-up the inventory of high-end and mid-tier devices, because "NOW!" is when customers don't think twice about plunking-down $300, $400, $500 or more to buy the top-of-the-line phones (Esteems) and accessories for themselves, plus an extra $100-$200 on mid-tier phones (Admires) and accessories for "the kids". Then, come April, they'll revert to their regular "What's the cheapest phone?" mentality, so that's when to drop to "clearance" prices. Until then, they should've kept the Admires priced at $99. Now, even Wildfires and Attains are getting to be short in supply!

One of the reasons I quit selling Sprint and T-Mobile.

I've wanted to say this since the thread began, but just keep laughing at YOU behind the counters. you are working for a company that is deliberately going after the lowest income sector, a LOt of these people are more than just out of work, or low income, or no education , or low IQ. a lot of these people have mental deficiencies.

I do not say this to be mean towards this "crazy " " rude " customers , I just have to wander WHY you behind the counter work there for more than 30 days??????. I can see people like my daughter that works as a nurse in the ER where these kinds of LOCO's come in all banged up , high , drunk, no taking their lithium , .

but why stay there? what do they pay you? just a guess 12.00 per hour? not full time ? no benefits ? it's time to maybe geta CAREER. just thinking out loud here and not really trying to insult just answering those that ask "where do these people come from ? think about it, most of us specially me have been on the "net" since 300 baud modems let me hook up to Compuserve and Delphi and GENIE if you're old like me and a geek you remember these 3 as they were the only way to get online at home (of course there was always college and the university mainframes) so you have to ask yourselves what kind of person does not have a computer and a internet connection and is actually willing to drive down to your CORP store and have that rent a "barney fife" wannabe cop at your lobby pushing a button to give you a number to stand in line to pay that dumb *** bill and pay 3.00 dollars more? for 9.00 you can have a dial up account STILL !!!.

I had to give a look at the one in Fullerton and say thanks I can read and choose which button to push. this is how retarded the whole system is. not just your customers

anyways just shaking my head and feeling bad for you behind that counter

Wow. And I've been cautioned I'm full of myself!

Buddy, I hope for your sake that you're a big tipper! Otherwise, the way you look down on service workers, I wouldn't want to be sitting at your table in a restaurant because I wouldn't trust the food -- there's no telling what a vindictive cook/server could've done to it or put into it!

I could only think while reading - "clearly he's never worked in retail."

see you took me wrong , I am and have been a service worker for 40 years now. no what I ask is why not get a better job? that's really all. heck no I am not putting you guys down , I'm saying it's a crappy job, or at least I see that way from my 3 or 4 visits to the corporate stores in Orange county and see the low end cross section of "beings" coming in.

my hat's off to you that can put up with it, I am in AWE. as for tipping I always tipp 20% (just so I can also put myself down for you boys) it's easier to add up 10 percent 2 times than get a diabetic headache trying to half the first 10 and add it to itself

and no I know better that to mouth off to my cook's

I think if you follow the old adage " to thyself be true" those of you that are NOT owners of the resale business would be better off considering a equal pay job and switch just my opinion

BTW I get really dirty in the job I do and yes I love it, cause the trucks do not give me lip and the union wages and benefits are superv. ( now that is nasty of me but oh well )

Yeah well rtoledo, maybe they like their job. Ever think of that? Not everyone works a job that they like. If you polled most Americans I think you would find that I think it is quite the opposite.

I work in customer service and I have all of my life. I started off in the restaurant industry as a busboy and worked my way up to being an Area supervisor. People who work in this field should be more highly regarded than they are! They have to deal with all of the mentalities that not only walk through the door, but of their own staff.

There are many ways to make a living...go to college get a degree start a job in your field, go to a technical school and learn a trade or start at the bottom floor of a company ( as I have done ) and work your way up with very hard work and longer hours than I care to tell you about, work your way into a supervisory positon.

Forgive me if it seems like I am talking down to you, but your original post did come off as sounding as if there was something negative about working in customer service. I commend these people.... these people actually have to WORK and don't have a union telling them it's okay to sit on their asses and make 30 an hour.

Unions are good at providing better wages and better working conditions, but my dad worked for Chrysler for 30 plus years and the horror stories he told me about the abuse of the union workers, it's no wonder the auto companies needed a " LOAN " from the government.

With all of that being said, that is what makes this country so great! That YOU , the employee or individual has the ability to decide what profession is right for " YOU ". Not every one wants to work on cars, or has the ability to be a lawyer or doctor.

You do what you can to survive and try to build a career and as long as those people are employed and paying their taxes and somewhat happy... so be it. It's no reason to come on here and try and tell them YOU think they should work someplace else.

Don't look down on people for whatever job they hold as long as they are holding a job. How shallow can you get!
