    E71 Java App permission hack?

    hey,

    I'll keep it short I've already hacked the phone to allow unsigned apps to be installed;

    however, how do I hack it to allow applications full permissions (network access, read user data etc.)

    I did it with my n95, can't do it here

    i didn't think you had to, you just go into app manager, select the app and set the permisions there.

    EDIT: woops, guess it has to be signed for it to never ask. A long time ago i found the files to edit on my e62, but i couldn't save the edits because the file was protected. At least you can tell it to only ask the first time.

    Yeah, I've searched. I've done the hack successfully on my N95 but I can't get it to work on my E71.

    Is the problem that you can't write to the required directory or have the files just changed location?

    Presumably, you're aware that you need a dev cert and helloox to hack the E71.

    I've got the hellox and all that crap done, i can install unsigned apps. I can also change the permissions for apps, but not all permissions can be changed, depending on the APP (gmail for example doesn't have "always allow" as an option for network access).

    With the C2Z patch on the n95 however it made it possible to change ANY permission.

    Hmm, perhaps it's just the web browser that does this, but my browser reads its files from C before Z by default. (or maybe helloox does something to do that automatically)
