T-Mobile's AWS is 1700/2100 but it requires both bands to actually work and that's really dumb.

If you want internet, you need to get an unlocked Chinese phone. This means no 3G for you.Originally Posted by raymondwy

ha yeh, i was looking around and saw the sh0902c and sh0801c and that they are 3G capable, so I was excited and ready to buy it THEN it turns out we use different frequencies for that 3G to work.. haha sucksss
It's really odd that America is the only country with weird frequency types like that.
America is backwards with technology.
sh0801c?? What is this?!
the never released sh1810c with 3g that will never see the light of day
Yeh, exactly my point! :POriginally Posted by aw614
SH0181C to be exact. Got cancelled at the last minute...
Just like the SH9030C (932SH) and SH2810C (931SH). Cancelled earlier than at the last minute though. Sigh.![]()

I was looking forward to the 9030C, any reason as to why it was cancelled?
Some idiot at Sharp decided at the last minute that MTK was going forward, apparently.
that idiot was probably a financial controller who thought, accurately that Chinese consumers could be baited into think domestic products = MTK
ANA The Launch Customer for the Boeing 787 Dreamliner
Not so much thought as said- I believe at least one Sharp person has been quoted as saying that MTK is "better suited to the Chinese market". Which of course pissed off the keitai purists. So now they've alienated a portion of their customer base already.
I dunno - nothing like MTK exists in Japan so I suppose he has a point...Originally Posted by yangj08
