    Behold vs. Blackberry Curve 8900

My wife wants the Behold just because of the Pink color available. I'm trying to convince her that the Curve 8900 is a better phone. right now both are about the same price, $150 after rebates.

    Any suggestions?

She will likely want to cancel the data plan later. In the regard, how much better is the Curve vs. the Behold?

    thanks.

I had the Behold, and I now currently use the 8900.

There is absolutely no question which is the better phone. Get the 8900.

The UI on the Behold is sluggish, the display is worse, and I dropped calls left and right on that thing.

The Behold is 3G, while the 8900 is not, but to me, the 8900 is still faster, has better reception, and the calls seem just as clear, if not clearer.

If your wife is set on having a pink phone, get a pink gel case for the 8900. They're only $9 bucks at a corp store, and I'm sure can be found cheaper elsewhere.

    8900 all the way.

IMHO BB without a proper data plan is useless.

I would stay away from both and something else.

I use the Flip and think it works well as a PDA and also a media player. $25/month does add up, and since I'm don't travel much, check email and website on the go isn't important to me.

What other T-mobile phone would you suggest?

Forget T-Mobile branded phone and get the Nokia E63-2. At least you could use WiFi for everything unlike the BB since you can only browse the web with WiFi.

I agree both phone require data plan to take advantage of all the features. The Behold has 3G (MUST FASTER) while the BB 8900 still uses EDGE. Behold is free online and 8900 costs $99. Pink touch screen phone is more elegant for ladies

    What is "everything" ?

Note - you can make calls through TMO BB WiFi. On a non-TMo Touch Diamond, could not make calls through it Can you do that with the Nokia ?

I am talking about data wise not UMA since you need a T-Mobile branded phone for that.

Can I get my emailed pushed to me using WiFi on a BB? No
Can I install and use a 3rd party weather app using WiFi on a BB? No

That's why I sold my Curve late last year and use an unbranded WiFi phone ever since (WM and S60).
