That's standard for the new 5th Edition Active Standby. It sucks to only have those 4 icons, but the space below is used to show other information. Normally there should also be a search bar, calendar information (if you have anthing in your calendar yet), and the music player will also show what's playing when it's open.Originally Posted by Vakas

The screen is massisve and they have blown the shortcuts up to fill it up, why couldn't they just make the shortcuts smaller sao you can fit more on the sceen
As for the YouTube app, you can go to m.youtube.com on your phone and it should have a link to download the S60v5 application. The "Facebook application" has never been anything more than a link to open Facebook in the browser. Even Nokia's new widget just displays the updates on the screen. Clicking it does the same thing.

im going sell my HTC Touch HD and get the omnia HD whenever it becomes avaiable for purchase. I would like to know how fast the camera takes pictures. On the touch HD once u press the shoot button the camera zooms in an autofocuses very slowly everytime usually resulting in blurry pics. Does the omnia HD have to autofocus as well or does it snap the pic when u press shoot.
Do you all think we will be able to install opera browser in the future.
Does the screen autorotate snappy or is the there a lag. On my Touch HD, when i rotate the phone sometimes it lags an i have to tap the phone for it to recognize it needs to rotate. Thats all i can think right now.

The camera is quick does not take long and reponds quickly and there is no lag and autorotate is is quick and responds straight away and the camera is way better then the HTC Touch HD.
I have never used a windows mobile phone but I am gussing it is faster and better than the symbian phones right?

From my experience WinMo is slow, laggy an too many bugs. I have to soft reset my phone almost everydy because its so buggy. Some people like windows mobile because its an open system but i would perfer a closed OS like symbian that performs like it is suppose rather than Windows mobile which needs to be tweaked straight out of the box.

I just visited the orange site and the price of the phone has gone up from Ł97.50 to Ł99 big difference init lol but it should go down no up.
Don't know what the reason for this is though..

Not sure how slow it is on the Touch HD, but "snap the pic when u press shoot" is not a good thing as that means the phone doesn't have autofocus features, aka iPhone.
Autofocus is a good feature and I've never used one without it since I got one that has it 4 years ago. There are 2 cases, 1) you do half press just like other camera to focus and fully press to take the shot, 2) you press it without doing focus and it will take a little time to adjust the focus which is normally as it has to move the lens in and out to adjust. Only those phone doesn't have this feature, i.e. fixed focus, can do immediate snap which in general will not has as sharp image as those with autofocus.

If you really don't like autofocus, you can change the scene mode to Landscape on the i8910 and it will take the picture immediately, though it won't come out as clear.

It's not like we know and we're just withholding the date from you. If we knew, we'd tell you.
May 25th was supposed to be the unlocked launch in the UK, though there's a rumor that it was pushed back to June 25th because Orange wanted to maintain its exclusivity. I guess we'll see tomorrow.
All preorder places are stating an ETA of June 25th, but I sincerely hope it's sooner than than.

Sorry but i just can't see the exclusive period with Orange being just 10 days as that's hardly exclusive is it? Also Orange have alreday sold out of thier first deliveries and are awaiting more stock, it will be interesting to see just how quick they get them again. Hopefully mine should arrive on Thursday as i got in fast once Orange offered what i considered a reasonable price plan with a free phone. It's been 9 months since I've used S60 and I'm curious to see how i like it on my return.

I agree, unfortunately. I can't see them going through all the hassle to advertise it as an exclusive and then lose that title a week later. It would confuse customers.
I'm getting really, really tired of waiting.
