    Engadget Mobile's LX 2009 review

I have to say that it looks very nice...

Thanks for posting the link to that review. I have to admit, I'm very disappointed that the LX 09 doesn't have the moodlights in each corner. The little tiny strip light just looks pathetic. I thought the LX's were all about the bling?! They've definitely taken away from that by leaving off the moodlights in each corner in my opinion. Other than that, it looks decent. 3G, YouTube support, improved camera, and the crisper screen are all steps in the right direction.

There's one point in that article that kind of bothers me. Sure, the original fanbase of the Sidekicks has gotten older. I don't see what that has to do with reshaping a product to help encompass that base. T-Mobile should care more about what the tweens, teens, and young adults want. They're the audience that primarily go for the Sidekick product. If T-Mobile distances the product too much from them, then they'll basically just be left with a glorified BlackBerry clone with cheaper data.

If you log-in now, all users are offered the $249.99 price. You just might not be eligible for the mail in rebate.

Nice review. That is the first Sidekick review I've read that has ever acknowledged that there are more than tweens or members of deaf community that use the Sidekick.

True the original Sidekickers (?) have grown up (I was/am one). I like using the Sidekicks more than a Blackberry. They feel less stiff and uptight. More fluid and cohesive. Hopefully the actual phone part of this phone will be up to the challenge (ordered mine a few days ago). Plus I use a BB for work (issued to me not by choice) and I really don't want my social life to be connected to my work life any more than it already is.

Also, why complain about the moodlights? I mean really. When my phone lights up like a frackin Christmas tree everytime I get a text or phone call that is just weird. Especially when I am in a meeting and I keep my phone on the desk.

The subdued mood bar (it looks like a bar so that is what I'm calling it) looks classy yet playful enough as to no make me look like a kid in the corporate world. Though at 27 and brushing elbows with Generals and Colonels on a daily basis, I am always the youngest person in the room.
