price range? theres too many phones out there to just start naming.
5800 can do 16GB cards, excellent phone, and dirt cheap.

I currently have a palm centro and can't stand it (mainly for it's size). Back when I had a w580i I loved the phone to death. What I'm looking for is a phone that supports 16gb sdhc microsd card. Alot of the specifications are ambiguous, I guess mainly since the cards may not have been available at the time of manufacture.
Something other than the expensive N series, more like the 5130. It has to supports 850. The most important feature to me is maximum memory card, decent mp3 player, and pc sync.
Some posts on gsm arena do say the 5130 works with the 16gb but then other posts contradict it. Heck it doesn't even have to be a nokia I just want something with good pc sync and figured nokia had it with pc suite.

5800! definitely for music/video lovers. it's more like a teen phone you know, it kinda looks cool on everybody. and the best thing is... the price wont kill you unlike iphones!
When the 5630 comes out it might be ideal for you. 5800, N85, N79 all also fit the bill but might be a bit overspecced for just music, all are about $300 US for unlocked. 5630 might be $200ish (if we're lucky).
Actually for just music in a small size for the lowest price the 5310 should be just right.

Can 16gb be used for the e71??

" Hey guys, here is my details on the 16GB question. (Yes) the e71 does support the memory size, but here are some technical obstacles you may encounter when using one. I use the Sandisk 16gb SDHC AB11M memory card, it is a class (2) which is the only current class from this vendor. I have not checked with the others so the info here relates to the sandisk sd card only.
In order for the card to function correctly on the e71 it must be permanently married to it while the unit is on. In other words don't remove it, even with the remove memory card function as you will have a ton of headaches getting everything to work again.
insert the card while the unit is off (this will initialize the correct controller speed for the memory card. If you insert the card while the unit is on, the unit is in Standard SD mode and once the device attempts to write to the card it will become corrupt and unusable causing you (a ton of headaches)
Once you have inserted your card, prepare the card for use by using the format memory card utility - you will do this before you add any data to the card.
This is a good time to name the card after formatting, if you attempt to rename the card at any other time, you will have problems with applications not loading, or unable to read the card data correctly.
Once your card is setup, you can begin installing your applications and using the card for storage, you will have to go to each app such as camera, email etc and point to the memory card to store your data. By default, "Some" not "All" applications will utilize the memory card as the default data storage such as yahoo go, nokia chat etc just a few I found to do this.
I have been using the 16gb card for a month or so and everything works just fine with no problems.
during this learning process I destroyed one card by making some of the mistakes I listed above, I pulled some of my resources together to figure out what was going on here, with that input, the corrected procedure for the card was used and thus having a 16gb E71.
Hope this helps answer some of your questions "
Wow! That's something to think about. I didn't know that it can be problematic like that. But it somewhat makes sense. Does this applies to 8gb or smaller card too?
Can you safely remove/re-insert a 16GB card on the E71 if you powered-off the device?

most of the newer Nokia phones, particularly the N-series and E-series will support up to 16GB microSDHC cards, and these cards can be removed even if you do not turn-off the phone, just make sure to use the "remove the card" function, which can easily be done if you press the "power" button once and use the menu that pops out...
i use my cellphones too much, my brains are fried...
