Oh and you just pointed out the obvious (-_-")
If it were that easy I'd take a WX-T92 and integrate the fw with 920SH and be set for a long time.

Everyone's on their own for hypersims. I'm out har har har har har~~~~
huh..If only..... sigh
On the other hand, flashing a SH9010C with SH9010C-proto firmware would be possible and just as interesting, no?
thats doable because the hardware and software architecture should be almost identical. But I have a feeling that the Sh9010C prototype that guy has is more closely linked to the Softbank version. Maybe thats why it only recognized the Vodafone cards and may accept softbank cards.
Well, if you could just re-enable the engineering menu in commercial versions (rather than prototypes) you'd be able to do the same thing. It's just they're disabled.
I'm sure there's a way to re-enable them; they'd need access to that menu in service centres.

Well, I was actually wondering if there were other differences between prototype firmware and commercial firmware.
Apart from 8+power engineering menu and #+power firmware reflash, and maybe the odd bug or two in the user interface, there's no other difference I've been able to pick.
My 880SH prototype has a graphical bug on the standby screen - the day of the week display uses all sorts of fonts ripped from several previous Sharps. Other than that it's as polished as the final version.
Since we are talking hypothetically here, what advantages would there be to using the 920SH firmware on a WX-T92? Wouldn't that lock out internet (imode instead of regular internet)?Originally Posted by IonNuke

Your hypersimless phone would require a hypersim![]()
uh...lack of hardware...mmmm, wheres my QR scanner and why does it say "felica searching"??????
1seg anyone?![]()
That's my point, there's really no benefit to having that menu accessible for a Chinese market Sharp. For a SoftBank Sharp it would be fantastic to have access to that menu as you'd be able to access the MEP Locks screen (to unlock the phone with a code; then you'd need to work the code out though, hehe), as well as remove the multimedia unlock altogether.
