Motorola Programming Support Tools (PST) software for StarTac - where to find?

Subject says it all. I can get the mini-chab flash kit, but need to find the accompanying software to make it work. Anyone know where I can find this?

Okay....I downloaded the Programming Support Tools (PST). With this and the hardware, will I be able to update the software version on the StarTacs?

I don't know much, but I do know that an EMMI box was needed to unlock the GSM ones. PST may work, it works with older phones from the p2k Patriot family as opposed to modern p2k. Give it a shot, if PST sees it you're good.

If you don't appreciate the past, you can't understand the future. Take a look at the price of a GSM 1900 Startac if you don't believe the demand. That is, if you can find one. Or a BMW Timeport. Startacs and Timeports are legendary amongst people that know phones.

I guess I could ask you why you're wasting your time asking me why, and it would kinda be like the same thing, right?

I bought a StarTac in 1999 and had it for 7 years. I probably dropped it 25 times and the result was....no damage. The battery lasts for almost a full work week on one charge, because all it has is a monochrome readout with no stupid graphics or silly ding-dong noises. I take pictures with my camera, not my phone. And, the accessories list is as long as my johnson - completely integrated hands-free car kit (mutes the stereo when a call comes in), tethers to modem functionality, Body Glove running pocket that straps to your arm, the list is endless. The signal is rock-solid and the sound is close to land-line quality. Shall I go on?
