Hey. I've heard of some of the earpiece problems with this phone, but I figured that now that Rogers Wireless in Canada is releasing the C905A, that the issue would have been fixed by SE. Turns out, 40 minutes after I bought my phone and was on my way to work, the screen would go all wonky randomly when I pushed the up button on the navigation pad.
If anyone has had the same problem, I'd like to know! Hopefully when I exchange this phone tomorrow, I won't have this problem again, or the earpiece problem that many people have had.

Update - I exchanged my phone today and received the same production phone (lot#09W19), and so far so good. No probs with the phone (except for the Rogers carrier firmware/software). Can't wait to get this baby debranded!
Wait, you can buy C905a? Where? Can you get unlocked ones?
rogers has this phone now? can someone confirm, i checked their site and nothing on the c905. may i ask which province/territory you live in?
I had issues with my screen about 8 months after I got the c905, for me it was the flex cable that moves every time you slide the phone up and down. I got a new cable for around $10 online and replaced it myself, you have to be pretty comfortable taking apart and working on phones to do this yourself. I also had the earpiece problem about 5 months after I bought the phone, I fixed that by soldering a jumper wire from one part of the PCB to anther, although the speaker doesn't sound perfect (crackles a little be, maybe bad wire solder job on my part) atleast it works.
Although I got the issues fixed and the c905 is a great phone (r33 software just came out and it is an even better improvement!) it is kind of disheartening to have all these issues with such an expensive phone, c'mon SE!
My next phone will be the Idou or the new iphone that should be announced in a few weeks if it REALLY impresses me (would have to be steller to make me switch to AT&T for the expensive monthly plan...)
Rogers Canada is now carrying the phone, although availability is still selective as it's rolling out.
Read more on the Rogers forums that I'm more actively checking up on.

The phone works fine now, which is great. I just wish I knew which firmware to debrand to.
