Morning all, Georgepa I hadn't taken the sim card out what I did was a battery pull. I don't know about anybody else but someone else said if you power down your phone first and then do a battery pull you wont lose your settings, that's what I did the first time, I powered down from within the phone's Menu, Don't do that. If you hold down (red) power button you can then do a battery pull, install Micro SD cards, just don't take the Sim card out. If you do just be ready to redo all your SB sets. Not sure what the problem is with shutting down from within the menu but, I'm glad I came across it. Oh I would lie to Ggve a big THANKS to everyone that helped make all this possible, you all are awesome.
    Make everyday a positive one.

Our Boost moderator martin_j001 was kind enough to add a link to the wiki at the top of this thread and in the Boost Unlimited sticky. He gave thanks for everyone who contributed.

I hope that as we discover more problems, solutions, and tips, we can all keep the wiki updated.

Indeed. I've also helped in adding some bits here and there. Though I have no doubt the newbies will pass right by it as they do the FAQ sticky anyhow. :P

I was using the guide on this thread and then i got the pdf because i was totally confused. and the pdf leaves out the part about going to the service books on the phone and holding alt and entering the sequence of letters. also, when i got to the link to download the os software, i only see version 4.1.0.525 or 4.1.0.112.

Also I'm planning on switching my current metropcs phone number over to boost mobile as well. So do i buy the blackberry and then just call Boost and let them switch my number over and activate my phone for me? or should i activate the phone by myself with the automated service and then tell them i want to switch my phone number over from metropcs?

    1. Download the ISScript7.zip file. To do this, visit: http://consumer.installshield.com/kb.asp?id=Q108322
    2. Extract the ISScript7.zip file.
    3. Double-click the ISScript.msi file.

If that doesn't work, see: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/888019

I suggest you activate Boost service with a new number, and then port your old number in later if you're happy with the service. The web activation (which doesn't accept a BlackBerry IMEI) will allow you to port in at activation time. I don't know if the toll-free phone activation will.
