What day did you order it? Mine was ordered Monday and still no updates. Time to call customer service and see what their deal is. This is now way past 1-2 business days.
Oh, can you also confirm what came in the box for you? The phone sales rep seemed to believe there was no 8GB M2 card in the box, so I ordered one with it. The lower price made that seem like a possibility. However, J&R's Amazon listing for the phone says the 8GB card is there!

I really don't know about the W995(a) but I do know that exotic phone has the silver color of W995(i) in their website. I believe I saw three colors of this phone - black, silver & red...
If the silver color for W995i is already out then I guess the silver color of W995a also should be out (Im really confused now, what about you???)...
By the way do you really like the silver one?? Actually the silver is not bad but I really like the red color more than any other color...

It's abit confusing. But I'm more confused about what comes in the packaging. Some of the Euro/Asia versions came with a desktop speaker and some came with the special headset. The NAM suppose to have the 8gb memory card. It appears it depends on the retailer if they choose to include these accessories or not.
I really like the silver colour. Normally I would go with black. But the silver looks really sharp.

Apparently it just took some complaining the night they decided to ship the phone out!According to the tracking number, I'll have it Monday!
As far as looking in the phone itself, I highly doubt they did that. The sales guy didn't seem very interested in the details on the contents of the box. I'll confirm what's there when it arrives. The other item I wondered about was the USB card reader the phone supposedly comes with, at least according to the package sold on sonystyle.com. Has anyone else gotten it with theirs?

I wanted Black Xperia X1a but they released only in Silver. Now, I want Silver W995a but they release only in Black. :-). I am sure I will like it in black but I guess with the market they have in USA, they can't afford to release in two colors.
Did anyone's phone from SonyStyle ship? I pre-ordered a long while back and when I called the CSR, they said they are on back-order which the dates on the site show they have been shipping for last few days.
I wonder if the Family Discount orders get last priority.

I'm sure Sony Ericsson will release the silver colour to North America. At times they usually release one colour at a time to see how well that colour sells. SE is not known to only release one colour for a phone, except for the k790a. That's me being hopeful.

I was just fustrated because other members on these forums may not be from the USA but may be located in our continent and not know much at all about phones, bands, etc and will be looking for help. Battery : BST 38 930Ah (quite small, W705 has 1000 mAh). Consider that BOTH use WLAN & GPS and 3.5G (10Mbps HSDPA/2Mbps HSUPA) I'm hoping that the W995 has comparable times for data & call times.
