Great Post...got this working perfect on 2 Telus Samsung U450's...just wondering if anyone has sample *.txt and *.jad files for apps because I'm trying to put Opera Mini on the phone and of course Telus seems to give me Access Denied to the site because of their DNS servers.
Ok, I see this thread is sort of old, so maybe my problem has to do with newer firmware...
I downloaded the drivers for my Intensity, that worked fine.
I got the cracked version of CDMA Workshop 2.7, am able to connect on COM 4, and after disconnecting and reconnecting multiple times I can finally get the unlock code to work. After the password is accepted (phone is off) the phone restarts slightly but stays off.
Now when I open BitPim and hit find phone, it says "Found other CDMA phone on COM 4" or whatever, but when I hit the + next to the system files, it very very quickly flashes "retrieving" and then nothing shows up. I've done this multiple times, tried disconnecting CDMA Workshop and tried it without disconnecting, and the system files have never shown up. Does anyone have any ideas?
OH! However, I tried adding your example files that you posted on Rapidshare, and that worked! I followed those exact steps for that one as I did for my own file that didn't work. I'll review the coding for my files. Any tips are greatly appreciated!

Just got a new Intensity II (sch-u460 and I was wondering if this same process would work for the new model. I have gotten as far as attempting to unlock the phone on cracked cdma workshop 2.7, but i seem to be stuck here. Should I just keep reconnecting and trying to unlock or will this simply not work?

Intensity II looks nice. I wouldn't continue unless it's been successfully unlocked. Can you be specific as to where you get "stuck"? Do you get an error message or what? Explain specifically what goes differently than the tutorial.

After I connect to the com port and read the phone's info, I go to the secuirty tab. When I select samsung default as the password and hit send, it tells me that "Phone does not accept password. Password is not correct. Phone may restart." Tutorial mentioned something like this may happen and to keep trying, but I wanted to check as I am using a different model.
Make sure the phone is powered off when performing these steps. Meaning make sure the phone isn't sleeping, and hold the red 'end call' button for like 3 seconds. Otherwise, I'm not sure if this will work on the new Intensity, however, it's likely possible using another method. I think in this thread someone mentions another method that worked.
is your phone an andriod phone if yes i know 2 ways of doing this for free 1 in your sh card make a folder called " ringtones " i iwll post later on how to do it for text message's or download the app called zedge its free and you can download wallpaper and ringtones/text tones

The phone is definitely off, otherwise it would not even show itself as a modem in device manager. Also, it is not an android phone. But the video mentioned specifically that sometimes the password would not be accepted, and that the step may have to be repeated. I don't know if this is all that is happening, or if it is a different problem.
