Here's how you add your own MP3's as Ringtones:

Assuming you've copied all my files onto your device and have already converted an MP3 into a .GC file:
• Rename the .GC to 24
• Take1.TXT and 1.DD from the ZIP file
• Rename both to 24.TXT and 24.DD
• Open up 24.txt
• Change CONF: 1 to CONF: 24
• Change COSH: 1 to COSH: 24
• Change PATH: mmc1/jas/content/1.gc to PATH: mmc1/jas/content/24.gc
• Change NAME: PETERS to whatever name you want, but keep it short
• Save & Close
• Open up 24.DD
• Change
to

• Save & Close
• Using BitPim:
• Drag & Drop the .TXT file into " BREW - MOD - OBIONE - JAS - INDEX "
• Drag & Drop the .GC & .DD files into " MMC1 - JAS - CONTENT "
• Reboot your device with BitPim
The files should be located in " Main Menu - My Files - Ringtones "

@senikl

Be sure u have the correct files in the correct folders

Check the pictures on the first page. Try to re-do the method.

@ mini_telus :

That depends on your definition of " nice ". I like my Ringtones . To each his own though. And I usually change every few months, those are from my last batch.

Couldn't one just go into Bitpim and put this file in there? In the same situation as you are btw.

@ Estrapade: That looks like it would work. You just have to modify the path, but yeah, that looks doable.

@ Estrapade:

Copying these .gc and .gcd files are not going to change the ring-tone indexing which is located in a database file (forgot the location and exact name).

@ adriannathegem :

Yeah, that happens to me sometimes too. Reboot your cell and retry. That should work.

@ afgforlife :

By "FileSystem" we mean that your're able to access your cell's files through BitPim.
