    Thumbs down k.

so i've rebooted my phone about 10 times now and re opened the CDMA program...still nothing. I've even restarted my computer multiple times. it won't connect to my phone. when i downloaded the USB drivers, it says it was installed correctly. yet i only have 1 port that works (COM 3). I tried installing the driver again, then it says it was not installed correctly. i'm confused

hey, thanks for taking the effort to find out how to put ringtones on this phone.
i am running into a little issue with this however, and i'm not sure how to go about it. When I access my phone's filesystem and go to the index folder, it goes 1.txt, 2.txt, and then 4.txt . There is no 3.txt. I have not installed or downloaded anything to my phone other than the my email 2.0 program. I tried placing files as both 3 and 5 to no success; i'd find them deleted everytime i would reboot my phone. Any help would be appreciated

I'm not sure if i'm doing something wrong. I tried installing the driver but it doesn't seem to work. I plug my phone into my computer and windows asks to update the driver but it cant find it. I installed the MCCI 4.34 WHQL v3.4 driver but it seems to have no affect

THIS WILL HAPPEN A LOT. FIX HERE

I had this same problem but I figured out a way around it. What I did is went ahead and installed Samsung PC Studio 3(Google can help you for this). Installed it and updated the software then restarted my computer. Upon opening, I couldn't connect to the phone via Samung PC Studio..HOWEVER, the correct driver files are now located on the computer!

Go to your device manager, find the device, and click update driver....then navigate to

If 64 bit OS: C:\Program Files (x86)\Samsung\Samsung PC Studio 3\USB Drivers

If 32 bit OS: C:\Program Files\Samsung\Samsung PC Studio 3\USB Drivers

Let it update the driver from that directory and it WILL find it. Also, it will then detect two other devices from the phone, you will update the driver using the same paths.

You will now have a total of 3 devices for the samsung:

    SAMSUNG CDMA TECHNOLOGIES
    SAMSUNG Mobile Modem
SAMSUNG Mobile Modem Diagnostic Serial Port (WDM) (COM #)

Your CDMA workshop and other things will connect now. It's working beautifully for me.

    ahhh

    Hey,

I'm a big noob at this sort of thing and I need a bit of clarification. In the first CDMA section, Lanhoj says to select the "correct COM for [my] cell." How do I find out what that is?

    Thanks in advance!

^^^^^ Try checking in the Windows Control Panel.

If not, try 1 by 1, I doubt it'll take long. I've installed so many extra Drivers and stuff to my PC and its only up to COM 16, and attemting 1 by 1 takes like 30seconds each time. Just select COM 1, click Connect then QDM. Ifr it Fails, try the next one.

Okay, so I have "unlocked" my phone with cdma, and have disconnected from cdma. I'm now trying to "locate" my phone with bitpim, but no such luck. Any ideas? Thanks!

I'm using bitpim 1.0.7 beta by the way, and when it asks me to "run settings," the phone isn't even listed amongst the other models.
