Hi,
I have a Sharp 902SH original Japanese model with the JP firmware, and would like to keep the Japanese language input, but would like to get rid of the reprovisioning problem, be able to use T9, and to receive MMS.
I remember at one time reading a forum, that by first flashing the phone to the HK firmware first, then flashing back to the JP this could be done. I am not sure if it is as simple as that, or do certain firmware files need to be mixed, and then creating a hybrid firmware, that would allow for all these functions?
Thanks for the tips, I will give PiClip a shot. By the way, aw614 do you know how they had both firmwares on the 903SH? Like certain files, JP flash then HK flash, or opposite order?. I don't have the cruiser cable/or any fancy smancy special tools, and was probably going to have iunlock flash it for me, but wanted to see if I could get them to do a custom firmware. Or do you reccomend anyone else in the US that would give this a shot?
the ones who did it were 903sh unlockers, the ones in singapore had access to both firmwares, I am not sure if it would work on the 902sh, I dont recall 902sh doing the same thing as the 903sh when flashed, like a jp 903sh to euro would enable the test menu. But dont recall that working on the 902sh.
But to rid of repro on 903sh you had to flash with your sim card in the phone i believe, there might be posts about temporarily reprovision removal if you search on it, its been a while since a read about it.
Maybe kevbodian might see this post about the 902sh, he might know more about flashing it than i do
Turns out iunlock can't figure out how to flash this phone, said there was an issue with the phone's flash chips or something. I still think it is possible to flash it though, and would like to try it myself. I found a site that sells the cruiser cable and software: http://www.gsmliberty.net/shop/sharp...ade-p-101.html . Do I need this software they sell or can I just get the cable, and download the software only? Also I have heard of boxes like the Furious Gold, that costs $$$. What is the difference between that expensive box, and a $15 cruiser cable? Can they both flash the phone the same? IonNuke, if you still have those firmwares, I might want them if you could. Thanks in advance!
Hello IonNuke,
Would you still happen to have those old Sharp firmware files? I am looking to fix this 902SH, and am looking for the file Sharp_V902SH_Japanese_Reboot_Fix.rar . The firmware was corrupted, and I wanted to fix this phone. Thanks
