Upgrading two or more lines on a family plan?

Alright, today is my first day of eligibility for phone upgrades. Yay! I'm planning on getting myself the Samsung Jack. Little problem though--LetsTalk.com, which has the Jack for free with an upgrade, will only give me a single upgrade discount for my entire family plan of four lines. When I try to add a second phone, it wants to charge me much higher prices. Wirefly will let me upgrade two lines, but there the Jack costs $60 and the other phone (a Samsung Rugby) would cost $80!

I'll go with Wirefly if I have to for the Jack and get something other than the Rugby, but can anyone help me understand this situation? I don't expect to get a full upgrade price on all four lines, but I don't think two reasonably priced line upgrades is too much to ask for another 24 months of servitude. Can anyone suggest a better place to shop, or alternatively how to get a second upgrade discount out of LetsTalk?

Well, your best bet may be at a store and not online. Try Walmart, Radio Shack or Costco. As you have seen the Online Retailers all require two lines of a FamilyTalk plan to be upgraded and you get hit with a big charge for lines 3 and 4.

Walmart Online uses Lets.talk and BestBuy Online uses Wirefly for example.

You do not have to upgrade all four lines at once. Read the fine print on upgrading through LetsTalk.com and Wirefly.com.

I was afraid you were going to say that. It's probably for the best, but I'd just hoped to be able to do this quickly and easily, and the nearest decently stocked retail store is half an hour away. Thanks.

I have. Problem is that they still want to charge me excessively for upgrading anything other than the primary line.
