    Question configuring a phone to use the sidekick apn

    can you configure a phone to use the sidekick apn?

    Just a sidekick. They go through the Danger servers, so only a SK device will work.

    so, even if i configure a tm506 it will not work using the sidekick apn?

    this thread is from a month ago... i was trying to know if i could use data on the tm506 before asking on the SE forums

    Actually I believe you can. I use my Sidekick Plan on my iPhone so I don't see a reason why it won't work on any "dumb" phone. Crap, it evn worked on my old N-Gage.

    The APN is: hiptop.t-mobile.com
    Username: dummy
    password: dummy

    Just to clarify, you actually have to type the word "dummy" in. It isn't a blank field.

    Yep, I can use the Sidekick prepaid data with my iPhone, using the APN and the username/password. Works like a charm.
