Aye aye aye, its like a land slide, once the smallest catalyst start the slide, it takes a helluva lot to stop it.
Now... here's a question, why does the Morrison have its D-Pad on the left and the Sholes has it on the right? Generally phone manufacturers keep their D-Pads to one side (and keep phones opening from one side too), so why such dramatic layout changes for different providers?
Last night on the Android Guys podcast, some old a new rumors about the Sholes were "released". Basically, sources confirmed that it will launch with the Eclair build of Android (likely numbered 2.0), and that there will later be a keyboard-less version of the phone, with some beefier specs (8MP camera was the only one mentioned). Info also posted here.
I'm getting really anxious for this device to launch. Hopefully we'll get a solid launch date in Sept.

Nice and thanks for the link/info.
As for a Sept release tho no way that will happen. Word has traveled about Oct but even that is pushing it per info I've gotten. They said mid Nov early at best. And if I had to guess I'll say it won't be til early Dec just before the holidays

That's a good idea to take the HTC Touch Pro/Diamond approach. Now a days some people need a physical keyboard and some people rather do without for the cleaner look. This phone looks like it will be a hit, lets hope it comes out nice and smooth without to many bugs. I would bet on a November/December launch.

Hahaha, yeah, what I meant to say was, "Hopefully in September, we'll get a solid launch date". I am impatient... but that would be a little too optimistic. I still have my finger's crossed for October, since other Android devices (on other carriers) seem to be launching around then as well. On the other hand, the code for Eclair hasn't made any public appearances yet, so that's not a good sign to its being done soon. Nothing to do but wait.
So based on the renders, "Flash" is probably the "Sholes"-minus-keyboard that is also rumored to be in the works. Makes sense, looks the same... but who knows?

I'm confused now, maybe the Flash is the non keyboard version of the Sholes? That would seem to be the only logical explanation for both renders looking exactly a like minus the keyboard. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

Motorola Sholes Specs
The Motorola Sholes is said to come on Verizon's network and is deemed as the flagship Google Android device this year. The Sholes will also be Verizon's first Google Android phone. One of Sholes' main strengths will be its 3.7-inch screen, which would be larger than the iPhone's or HTC's Android offerings.
The Motorola Sholes is rumored to ship with Eclair (probably Android 2.0), featuring many user interface enhancements and a focus on gaming and multimedia. The expected retail price for the Motorola Sholes (with a Verizon contract) is $199 and speculation puts a launch date for the device sometime in November.

Don't you think they will launch the "Flash" and the "Sholes" at the same time? I just think its a bad idea to launch them separately unless Verizon let's it be known that the Flash will follow.

How would that be any different than the Touch Diamond and Touch Pro being released separately. I really don't think it matters whether or not they are released simultaneously.
A slice of bread will always land peanut butter side down. If, by chance, you put peanut butter on both sides of the slice, it will float forever.
