guys..stop worrying about this, i dont see why you cant just trust bill and know that it will be out soon, yet you put most of your eggs into the rebate form and start crying? come on...man up and have some faith.

I have to agree with you on this...people overreact on here all the time...the rebate forms are no indications of a phone's release date....geez, I expect an announcement next week since this week Verizon and Google CEO's stated that these Android phones will be available within the next FEW weeks and sites such as BGR have stated that the HTC Hero will be out by November however it has been stated that the Sholes will be the 1st android phone released by Verizon...so, what does that tell you guys? Ugh! just relax, it'll be out soon!
pretty much. im hoping that if the insiders see the post die down somewhat and the hype subside, then maybe we'll get more information to spark the chat a little bit at a time until we get some official news on it..
Well, when you post stuff like this, and someone posts something that is very relevant to the phone and then tell them to relax....
I am not here to argue with you, we all have seen how off topic this thread has been at times. I also believe in what bill23 says, that it will be out very soon.
the poster of that rebate form never said he doubted bill23 at all. He just simply made an observation that the phone was not on the rebate form, which is relevant info about the phone in the same way that if the std was on the rebate form there would have probably been ~300 posts in the last ten minutes.
Compared to every other pop pre release thread I have been a part the last two pages have been extremely mild.
Just a quick thanks to FAUguy and the rest of the mods for being so tolerant and lenient with this thread.
Considering the level of abuse and the outrageous post count, they have really taken it easy on us.
Mark_V is the only one who hasn't showed up yet to reign it in.
Haha, I haven't seen or heard virtually anything from Mr. Venture since the days of the original US Cellular firmware leak for the V9m. Those were the days How's Mark's knowledge of Android? Any chance the old group (you, Mark and goldmembr) are planning a reunion to modify software for Android 2.0? Even if 2.0 comes out completely open with root access, no software locks and is 100% bug-free, it could ALWAYS be better! It'll be a lot more challenging than Synergy, I can promise you that
We have to get the phone in hand first and see what we can do with it.
Personally, I have so much to learn about all of this that I don't see myself having a great deal to contribute until I've studied up and can see what kind of access we have.
I am only too well aware of how much more challenging it will be than Synergy, but we have a lot more people working on this stuff these days here and elsewhere and I expect that it will be quite a race to root it and dump the ROM etc.
We were always so limited by the BREW OS...this is much more open once security is cracked.

Oh and real life hit Mark_V like a freight train this past year...he mostly posts in the BB forum...we spoke last week.
@ sailorcancer (& the others) about the navigation, check out Google Navigator, I am thinking that is what they're talking about. Either way, I am sure Goggle Navigator if not already installed on this device, will provide turn-by-turn anvigation.

Not in the least...deadpan sincere actually...although I was just thinking that the only solution to the problem would be to start another thread. I didn't want to suggest that though, as it is easy enough for me to sound like a stuffed shirt in this thread without trying too hard.
