True, but they can easily block apps like this from the Verizon store. In speaking of that, will the Android store come pre-installed or not?
Depends on who you ask and how much of that story they actually read...
FROM WHAT I UNDERSTAND non-Verizon app stores will not come pre-installed, but there will be nothing stopping you from downloading it on your own. Of course, that probably depends on when the Verizon store is ready.

Exact same thing I've heard also. And as for the VZW store it is suppose to be up and rolling by years end last I heard on that one.

android market is built into the rom of every android phone, its not available to download. removing it from a device would completely destroy the point of having android in the first place. android is far too connected to its app store to remove it, verizon is not that dumb.

I don't know, dude. They may be.
We've all witnessed the stupid things Verizon does to phones. I wouldn't put it passed them to ruin smartphones the way they have the dumb ones.
They have already said it will only have the VZW store app installed on it and if you want the others you'll have to add them to the device yourself. I can't find the article atm but i just read it last week somewhere.
Edit: found it here is a link to the article saying it will only have it's ( VZW app store) own stuff installed on new devices but you can locate the other clients and install them on your own. http://www.cio.com/article/497284/Ve...axonomyId=1436
Well how are you supposed to download Android store? This isn't like WinMo where there's an available source to download the store for the 6.1 users (6.5 comes with it) .
I'll second that as last I heard it is not in final testing yet even. So the odds of it being out by late Oct is going to be wishful thinking IMO. As long it is it before the holidays I'm good with that tho seeing as I don't have another upgrade coming until early Nov anyways.
Correct Android 2.0 is not released public. However from what I was told Moto has had it for use on this device as this will be the first device to the market to have Eclair before they let Android 2.0 go public
