have you guys seen it on fcc release yet for approval?im sure you guys are digging info all day long on it.you must see if it is a device coming upo for release somewhere?
As far as anyone who has posted in this thread having their grubby paws on a Moto Sholes, hehe, just read between the lines, I 'really' doubt it. (drooling)
Teddy you shouldn't doubt it. There is at least one poster who has it and a bunch of other testers watching this thread

I was being a smart a$$. It's very apparent to me just from reading some of the posts here that some have it, and that is besides my other knowledge. How would some know about bricking it, why would some want screenshot s/w, etc., unless somebody has one already.
bill23's got a good idea, but I'm going to have to figure out how better to search the fcc site, because I couldn't find it as 'sholes', but I couldn't find the a4500 and we all know it's there somewhere. . . .

Yes, that would be a great idea. Maybe we will get the correct name or model, I doubt whether the User Manual will be posted yet. Here is the link for that A4500 User Guide; I guess there may be something on that site. https://fjallfoss.fcc.gov/prod/oet/f...ive_or_pdf=pdf
How about this listing, looks like maybe but it is a Windows Mobile device and they ditched that OS a long time ago:
Motorola, Inc. Design Name A3300c
Qualification Assessment Date September/17/2009
Listing Date September/18/2009
Design Description Windows Mobile smart phone; CDMA with EV-DO Rev A Capability; 3.2” QVGA display; 5M Auto Focus Camera; BlueTooth+GPS

In the menu and bluetooth it's not listed as Sholes but another name.

Just read a review of mytouch3g in eweek , which says that the new active sync won't sync contacts nor exchange calendars. If this guy is correct, this is a real deal breaker. I need my phone to sync with my outlook seamlessly. Anyone know if this is true?
posted this a few days ago, nobody responded, but wanted to try again. This is real important to me and probably everyone else who uses a smartphone for business. Does anybody know how Android interfaces with Outlook?
I did a Google search of "android outlook sync" and according to the search list, there are no direct sync with MS Outlook, just work arounds (basing it on the current Android phone, G1).
So, I'm not sure if Sholes' version of Android will update this or that it will remain the same.
Was AT&T: 1yr contract and hated it after it switched to Cingular

i just don't see this phone coming out for an early October launch without so much as an announcement. Unless this phone is really that good and Verizon sees it as an obvious iphone killer and hopes that a full surprise launch will capture the country.
I mean they have been tighter lipped about this phone then the darn space program..
Well, it pretty much seems as though the Sholes' model number is/will be the A855. So at least we've got that out of the way.
@ wnrussell: I appreciate the link you provided for the Nap, but that was only for the user's manual, wasn't there another one for the FCC certs? I was all over EWM this morning looking for it in the activation thread. Then, this evening I used your link posted here to try to backtrack through the addy to see what I could find out about the A855, but as I post, it's still searching.
But, we now have the BT cert having been approved, and here's the WiFi cert:
so, it looks like it's moving right along. I am sure that it's already got it's FCC cert, it's just not easy to find unless you know that actual document number; that is with my limited knowledge of how to search for things on the FCC site.
Finally, the way I count it out, this thing will be released on Holloween, give or take a day.
