aesthetics is the looks...now please stop trying to play the brain game with me when you're from the a**hole and taint of america..

and what makes you think that they can comment on any other aspect of 2.0? again, if they were allowed to, im sure they would have by now.
You do realize that my whole post is about the LOOKS of the OS, right? As in the AESTHETICS of the OS? You actually looked up the definition, quoted it, posted it and still failed understanding what it means.

I quoted your post with one intention: this is quite possibly the dumbest thing I've ever seen ANYONE ever write on HoFo - EVER - and there is a good chance you will realize your stupidity tomorrow and delete it. I want to make sure that everyone that reads this thread from front-to-back will be able to see what a child you're being. I realize that you're having trouble defending yourself because you're wrong and I'm right and I believe I've succeeded in showing everyone that, but that's no reason to start throwing around desperate personal insults. Yes, I went to school in 'filly' - and judging by your complete inability to comprehend words, wherever it is you live, they don't have schools.

    Moving on...

I haven't changed any sentence in my post. All I did was add an additional paragraph. You're just typing before you're comprehending and it's getting you in trouble. Take note of it, let it go and let's get back to business with the Sholes and hopefully someone will comment if there is simply a change in the aesthetics of Eclair vs. Android 1.x in a simple, one-word yes-or-no response.

It'll sell out most likely. Pretty much any phone worth buying sells out at initial launch. I remember when the E815 first came out, they were sold out all over the place for a good week or two. Personally, I think it's a good thing to always wait a few weeks for the device to launch. The first one or two date codes usually have problems in my experience. Maybe it's because prototypes get mixed in. Maybe it's because the manufacturing process isn't perfected yet. All I know is, the hardware after the first few date codes seems to improve. Plus, I like getting the reviews first

Winston25 mentioned 2 million units projected for first year production in a post he deleted for other reasons. That would seem sufficient for even a very successful launch for this phone, if not a smash hit.

Even if the phone has a large production, I think the biggest issue would be VZW's ability to keep the stores completely stocked. I'm sure they'll have delays in shipment, run out in stores for days at a time, etc. I doubt there will be a whole month where units are unavailable, but I wouldn't be surprised if many stores sell out the first week and take a week to replenish their stock.

I know this may not be the same for most people but if this phone does half of what its supposed to do correctly, i rather have first dibs and make my own review about it. But thats just me

this can be avoided by pre ordering right? this isnt a sarcastic question i never pre ordered a phone before.

For instance, if the phone becomes available for pre order and i log in at 12:01am that morning i shouldnt have a problem locking myself into a phone right?

    First off....

Choco / The Knight: This really isn't the forum for graphical improvements on Android. I share your passion about it as I think the current iteration of android leaves MUCH to be desired graphically. (I like clean interfaces...I am a mac guy afterall...hell...I think the phone is kinda ugly tbh if these pictures are of the final h/w) but you are indirectly pushing for some answer that will really not give you an answer. It just doesn't make sense. I would say this...If 2.0 isn't to your liking, at least you'll most likely be able to get skins for it. You'll know soon enough either way

But the insults back and forth are ridiculous and you all need to stop acting like little children over a cell phone interface. Really?!

Hell....if anyone here can write the code, I would be more than happy to provide graphical improvements when the time comes

    Secondly:

I'de me more interested in having a simple yes or no to the specs listed here http://phonedog.com/cell-phone-resea...ecember-1.aspx

However I am not asking for them and can bide my time until it is officially announced. (if this is true....just...WOW)

Sure I've already dropped it a couple of pages ago... I no longer want the earth shattering statement regarding whether or not Eclair is the beauty it's been painted to be in Google's Q&As and conferences...

Anyway, I agree with you the Moto phone does seem bland and crude to me as well. I honestly don't know why Android attracts uninspiring hardware.... Maybe it's because the OS isn't as polished as WM, webOS (gorgeous) or the iPhone's OSX....

Which is why Eclair will be a defining point for the platform, and will dictate what we should expect from future incarnations. WM7 is already on the horizon and a friend of mine working in Seattle is telling me it's well, well, well worth the wait... so, that's why I was pushing for a Y/N reply from bill23 who's the only person on the internet who's admitting on a forum to be holding a device running Eclair....

Anyway, sorry for pushing for this simple question a bit too strong.

Regarding the specs from PhoneDog, actually, funny story: They were first published on HowardForums on THIS thread a few pages back (try 50s and 60s)...

Personally I think the hardware build sounds fantastic. Metal body and gun metal grey color scheme? Perfect. Like a Razr all growed up for Christmas.

FYI: I only have 43 pgs as I'm using 30 posts per pg. Referencing a post # might be a bit more accurate.
