Message display, BlackJack II

I have a BlackJack II I've upgraded from Windows Mobile 5 to WM 6. The home screen says no new text messages, when I go to the text message screen it says I have 1 new. I've deleted all the messages and it doesn't correct the problem. Anyone know how to fix this?

Not really sure why you are seeing this, but it isn't an issue from upgrading from windows mobile 5 to 6. I would first, turn off the device cold and restart to see if that takes care of it. If not, I would call your provider to see if they can clear it and last case you can do a hard reset.

This is one of those issues that a hard reset will correct the issue. I have found no other fixes for this one. You'll have to put the phone back to you settings, but the upgrade will not be lost. Move all contacts that are saved to the phone memory to the SIM card because they will be lost forever.

turn the phone off. Before powering on with the button on top of the phone hold down the Up key on the direction pad/dial and while holding this down push the power button on top of the phone.
a screen will come up asking you do you want to reset the phone back to factory settings.
follow the prompts saying yes and there you have it your done.
