I'm gonna be seriously disappointed if the only color available for NAM is black.

Topaz Brown would easily sell well as a NAM version and IMO the Black look too much like a BB ripoff...

Although the black looks better than the gray...

It's out overseas and western Europe, not in NAM.

It's out with OS glitches (battery indicator saying charging even after unplugging it), LEDs light leakage, Camera app won't remember user setting after exiting, Blink light won't stop blinking from I read/ remember so far.

rf12, Yes, I've noticed all the glitches you mentioned when I had a brief play with e72-1. LED leakage was easily noticeable in dark room.

If it's really as bad as the early reports are telling, I'll have to sit it out until this first production batch is sold-off.

I hope Nokia wakes the ****-up, remedies this nonsense and drops the price by at least $75 for this quagmire.

It's really frustrating, at least Nokia makes changes in 2nd/3rd batch, same thing happened with N97. It's always wise to wait 1-2 months after the release. Nokia takes input from customers and usually fixes in the later batches. For instance, newer N97s GPS is a lot sensitive and better lens assembly and some users even reported better feedback from keyboard. I'm very disappointed with Nokia's quality control in past 2 years.

Think, you find a mature response to these questions.

I personally think the E72 is the best phone Nokia has right now. And they still managed to come out short on silly details.

Glad you like the battery life.
My response must have bothered you enough to go back and re-write your post!

I take what I am given, there is nothing that will make any of it's shortcomings go away instantly, other than software things they can tweak, and that usually takes a bit for the first software upgrade.

If they made the perfect phone, what would people talk about? I am quite sure someone came up with the light leakage problem at Nokia and it was going to cost another 46$ per phone to make it not leak light and they chose cost saving.

Light leaks I can live with, seriously. The camera resetting to default is likely working as intended, can live with that as well. What I won't live with is the constant softboots/dropped calls from my E71 which makes me very leary of the E72.

Oh, and the small 2.36" screen.
