by the way, if i put in my sim without the hypersim into the doco, it does detect it but says it doesnt recognize it. so im hoping its at least not a simcard slot problem?

got an sh-03a signed up for t-mobile, with an iNex v2.01 hypersim. got it to work yesterday fine, until it suddenly sometime in the afternoon turned off and stopped recognizing my sim (Insert UIM). tried cpr a dozen times, even putting the hypersim in a regular phone it would still tell me to insert a sim.

im guessing i need a new hypersim?

it might be new hypersim
I think your iNEX may not be really V2.01
The hardware part in brown is FPC which shown V2.01
The real firmware version is to be seen when you turn on your phone.
For FPC V2.01, it firmware may up to V2.6.
For CPR, are you sure the 6 points of the hyper-sim is correctly contact with your SIM ?
ya, did cpr with hypersim numerous times with 5 different phones. all the same result: "Insert SIM"
If, only if you have any friends have other hyper-sims then you can borrow their to try.
......
For last, may be you do really need another.
so i recieved my pre-programmed mr-sim today. opened it up and slapped it in. worked immediately.
so happy rite now, hopefully it stays that way.
i notice tho, if i set it to auto it displays the gprs icon on the screen, but if i choose gsm/gprs the icon goes away... i dunno if that means anything,b ut any hint to keep cpr to a minimum

Turning on GPS ON or OFF won't affect the reception, I turned mine off since I would think that it'll use some battery power...
ok, so far so good, but somethings wierd: i cant send sms, but i can recieve them. tells me service is not provided. if i put my sim into a regular phone it will send/recieve sms.![]()
change the service center number in sms settings
edit
: fixed. sorry

Are you talking about GPRS or GPS? If it's GPS how do you turn it off? It could differ between Panasonics and Sharps though.Originally Posted by Chillyman
