Norton 360 i find is the best out there.
It has the best av protection with alot of extra features and has the best real time protection out there. And with the newest versions it doesnt hog the resources like it did before.

I use Eset Smart Security, AKA NOD32. I like that it leaves a small footprint and is non intrusive, it just sits there doing its job with no popups and other ridiculousness.
Personally, the one I would never even consider is Norton, google "pifts.exe" and see why.
I use Norton Internet Security. I have been using Norton since 2000, and I've never had a virus on any of my computers so far.......
AVG Free 8.5 for me, I personally "dislike" Norton![]()
I'm happy with Intego for OS X and McAfee for Windows. Then again, McAfee comes with my ISP subscription.
If you lived in this signature, you'd be home by now.
avast. i think it's called. I used avira for some time, not sure exactly why I switched...
I use Avira AntiVir. Do have to put up with a nag screen every other day, but aside from that, it's solid. Way better than Norton, which I've used before. I've tried AVG, as well.
Back in the DOS days, I used to use McAfee, but the windows version really slowed down the system, so I've never gone back to it.
Same here. I got a year subscription off Newegg for 9.99Originally Posted by Milkbone98

1. Start-> Control Panel
2. Administrative tools-> Local security policy
3. Click on Software Restriction Policy-> Action (at the top)-> create new restriction policies
4. Right-click additional rules (on the right side)-> new path rule
5. Click Browse and navigate to C:\Program Files\(Avira)\AntiVir Desktop\ and double-click avnotify.exe
6. Set the security level to Disallowed-> apply-> ok
When I was on PC, I liked McAfee, Symantec Enterprise (NOT Norton garbage) or AVG.
I've tried something like that before (I'm running Vista, so the procedure is different), and it caused some weird problems with my system... don't remember exactly what now, had to use system restore to get things back to normal.Originally Posted by [droc]
I've used both Norton AntiVirus and Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition, to clarify.Originally Posted by Ryan1524
