When I was in France in March it worked fine. I was roaming on the Orange network sending to friends and family back here in Canada. It worked flawlessly.

International SMS to Orange France network inevitably fail, still cost you 25 cts, though Rogers claims Orange France is a supported network for SMS.
SMS are received empty, always. Tried that with different phones and to several different people using the leading French network.
I think Rogers should remove Orange France from its list of supported networks, or wake up, at long last, if they feel the problem is at least in part on the Canadian side of this ridiculous mess.

Come on now...it costs more if actually want the message to arrive!![]()
Orange France and roaming customers can indeed send messages to Canada. That's not my point. My point is that text from Rogers Canada to Orange France always fails, and always at a cost.Originally Posted by stund

I had a similar experience with Rogers and Telus/Bell phones.... I called up Rogers and they reset something and it works since... maybe try the same.
A Rogers rep from the 'office of the president' called me this morning. He acknowledged this was a known issue, and actually intermittent, as some in this thread suggested. It also affects other networks. He could not give any ETA, but he refunded all my recent international SMSes.
Let's see how this develops![]()
I had the same problem sending sms's from Fido to A1 in Austria. Fortunately it works fine with Rogers. I guess it has something to do with roaming contracts.
