The 510 and the 270c are not Express Net capable. You'd need a phone with 1XRTT/CDMA capabilities which is essentially any new Verizon phone.

Called *611, asked for free EN that only uses airtime. CS said, ok lemme look that up. I told her I had a promo code if that would help. (47769 - I'm in NorCal). She said thats great, it saves a lot of time from searching.

I was about to finish up the call when I asked her to verify the details of the code. She takes some time to look it up, then says the code is good only for 1 month free service. with a 2 year service commitment? "so basically you will get one month free, and pay $79.99 for 2 years" is what she told me

    ???
There's enough people who have verified this deal, and that $79.99 is a red flag since it should be for unlimited,non-airtime usage. But the fact that the CSR took some time and looked up details of the promo gives me pause...

Hmm, if you look at verizon's web site, you can see that they are indeed offering a deal for $79.99 with the first month free. However I don't see how they would "automatically" put that on any account without getting permission. Previous messages here and my own conversations with VZ make me think people on AC and another plan are getting it free, period. I'll have to ask the tech if and/or when she calls me back.

Right now it's still not working for me. The tech said that CS had definatly provisioned my account but for some reason my # was not uploading to their switch. She even had them de-provision and re-provision it. She ended up opening up a ticket with her own department to have the switch checked out. I should hear something within 24 hours I guess.

47769 cannot be the right code if it's coming up as the $79.99 plan w/first month free.

I can't speak for VISION or I2K markets but I have the codes for action markets and they auto populate to plans whenever I do an activatioin in eROES.

At this point it still doesn't work, but I probably won't call them till tomorrow morning now.

With init string of AT$QCMDR=2, login of qnc/qnc gets me 14.4k. ##########@vzw3g.com gives username and password not valid for the domain.

With init string of AT$QCMDR=3, both qnc/qnc and ##########@vzw3g.com give usernamd and password not valid for the domain.

I also tried installing the dialer (I was a fool and bought the expensive express network package instead of just getting the radio shack cable). it gives the same results (init string 2, connect to qnc but not EN. init string 3, no connects to either).

I had similar problems getting text messaging to work when I got the phone a month ago. Took 3 phone calls before it was "unblocked" correctly...although today when I was talking to a CSR she said text messaging was blocked and she would unblock it for me while she researched the EN problem...

if you have the T720, follow these steps:

    1. Press the menu button.
    2. Immediately after, press 072887#
    3. For the security code, type 000000.
    4. Adjust settings.

I remember doing this a while back when i had similar problems connecting to the network.

Trying to find the dialer software

I have read through this entire thread. I am trying to find the dialer software. Does anyone have it? I tried some of the FTP sites listed in the thread, but they didn't appear to help.

    Can anybody help me out?

    Thanks,

    RB

Verizon changed the start time for evenings to 9 PM early this year. If you were on contract prior to the change, they carry your 8 PM start time until you change your contract.

This happened to me when I increased my AC plan minutes.

I was getting this error when I first tried connecting to EN a few days ago. I had read that this could be from lack of service or poor reception. And, I tried very persistantly to connect (20-25 times). I had never had any problems on my T720 (other than battery life) but it was the phone. I got a new phone from VZW and it worked fine.

If you're having this error and are unable to connect, just get the phone replaced.

well after many calls I *think* I've got this feature added to my account now.

Diff reasons I've heard for rejection:
    1) Promo not what I thought
    2) promo code doesn't exist
    3) Must have plan started june 2nd or later

Finally, got a guy in WDTS who got me all the way there. But he did add that this free EN was only for GIN and mobile web. If I were to connect my phone to a PC, I would be charged the regular rate.

..Can they even tell? I know my "free" mobile web shows up in my bill as "Data CL", but what does #777 show up as?
