Does anyone know of a way to sync more than just music and pictures between the Env Touch and a Mac?
I'm looking to possibly be able to sync iCal events. I really like using the calendar program on Verizon phones, but I think I would get annoyed with having to enter each and every event both on my computer and on my phone.
My favorite syncing program, The Missing Sync, doesn't support phones other than smartphones at this time. As far as I know, iSync (a program built into newer Apple computers) doesn't support LG phones.
Any tips/suggestions are greatly appreciated. I love my Mac and my LG phones!

You can use the latest test version of Bitpim to transfer calendar events to the phone (use the VX-9600 Versa phone setting). You will need to export your calendar from iCal and import it into Bitpim. This version, however, can not sync contacts to the enV touch. I will post in this forum when a new release is available that can sync contacts to the phone.
Out of curiosity, what kind of demand is there for iSync support for LG Verizon phones? I have been toying with the idea of writing software to support USB/Bluetooth syncing with the VX8550, VX8800, VX9600, VX9700, VX10000, VX11000 and possibly other phones.
I love the idea of iSync support. I've been very pleased with all of the applications my Mac came with, but have yet to use this program.
I'm pretty sure Apple would work something out if LG would just support SyncML already!
I'd be interested too.Originally Posted by eno

I would love iSync support for my LG Verizon VX11000!
Has anyone tried the program DataPilot? It's supposed to sync contacts, pictures, iCal appointments, music & movies, etc. Does it work well?Originally Posted by GirlGenius16
i too would be willing to donate for such software
As a new EnvT owner and a mac user, I would enjoy having iSync compatibility.
I am working on a bare-bones version at the moment (contacts/calendar only). Currently the brew/DM backend is working. I will post here when I am ready to start testing (probably within the next 2-3 weeks).
Sounds excellent Eno! I await testing the beta.
Awesome! me too! :]
Progress is slow but steady now (interface: 85% complete, backend: 90% complete, sync engine/parser: 40% complete). The beta should be available at the end of next week if there are no unexpected difficulties.
I hope to be able to support every LG phone since the VX-8550 with the initial release. Supported phones (expected): VX-5500, VX-7100 (Glance), VX-8350, VX-8360, VX-8550 (Chocolate 2), VX-8560 (Chocolate 3), VX-8610 (Decoy), VX-8800 (Venus), VX-9100 (enV2), VX-9200 (enV 3), VX-9600 (Versa), VX-9700 (Dare), VX-10000 (Voyager), VX-11000 (enV Touch)
eno - Do you need any help on the development front? I was about to set out on my own effort when I saw your posts here.
I probably will need some help after the initial beta release. What experience do you have working with the Cocoa API?Originally Posted by Aqueous1
