I did the update, backlight issue seems to be fixed on mine. Still waiting for facebook widget to load, accuweather came up fine. Now if only iSync!!!!! Come on Nokia!
Anyone here had issues with their phone crashing off and on when on 3G especially the NAM version. If so, appreciate any feedback after the firmware update. I hope this issue has been addressed. I have been using mine on EDGE ever since.
For some reason i get a connection error when i try to update with the OTA method, Im in the office and i want to update this phone so bad....... I have full bars on 3G, but all i get is the connection error when i select check for updates, do i need to mess around with the settings or server profiles?
I'll have to do the PC Suite update when I get home since OTA isn't working. Most of the bugs either haven't hit me or I aren't that bad, so not really a big deal.

I'm out of town without my laptop I use to connect..wonder how much of a lag the OTA availablity is?
It's not really much faster (and I have animations/auto rotate disabled), but it's more stable. Buttons are responsive, whereas they used to take 5-10 seconds to register a touch, previously.
This is the firmware it should have launched with, IMO. There are still some things that need to be fixed, sure, but at least it's usable.
I agree. In my limited usage so far, I have found that the keypad seems more responsive. It is much closer to a capacitive screen. I also have not experienced the backlight bug today, so I consider the firmware update a success. It now appears to work as advertised. Nokia can now concentrate on adding functionality.
