Interestingly enough, choosing "Default" in NM still makes it access packet data 100% of the time, even with WiFi as first priority. Go figure.

Maybe that's why it's partially. It happens to some phones but not others (I work in IT Support and problems like that PISS US OFF to no end)

Could be a hardware issue with the switch I suppose. Can you track which batch each N97 was made in? That might help too.

For a change, the United States was actually the first to get a new Nokia phone in the N97. Perhaps we'll be first to get the new firmware? It will be the 1st in about 14 minutes in some parts of the US. I'll check tomorrow morning.
