Hack: use Google Voice to add visual voicemail to your G1, Dream, or Magic

I haven't tried it yet since I haven't got an invite yet. I don't know if it works in Canada, I was too lazy to read the article without the invite.

I took a look at the information on the website and I don't see why it wouldn't work. The only problem that I see is that even if you have a Google Voice account/number which is currently limited to "invites" and people who had GrandCentral, that number is a number in the US so you would be setting your phone to forward to a US number which would incur long distance charges.
Fido (monthly plan - personal/data):Novatel Wireless MC950D or Nokia CS-18

Rogers (pay as you go - Canadian prepaid): "Fido" LG Nexus-4

Rogers (monthly BIS data plan): Blackberry Q10

Red Pocket Mobile (US prepaid): Sony-Ericsson c510 or Sony-Ericsson w300i

T-Mobile (US prepaid): unlocked Fido iPhone 3GS 32GB or "Fido" Samsung Nexus-S

Don't know if they're still hard to get, but if anyone still needs a google voice invite PM me and I'll send one your way. I have a couple extra.
