    Fring

I recently downloaded Fring for my WinMo device, and noticed you can make voice calls using its Google Talk, MSN, Skype widgets. Anyone know if Telus can detect that and charge me for it?

Fring also asked me when I first set up if I want to use "Phone as Modem" or "Data". Does anyone know which connection I should use?

    TIA.

I believe you want to use Data which will not incur charges as its pulling data just as any other data application you have on your phone. I'm assuming you have a data plan.

Besides Fring, you might want to have a look at Nimbuzz and Palringo. They do similar things, especially Nimbuzz.

Thanks a lot man. Really appreciate you replying. The UIs of both those apps you suggested look a lot better than Fring!
