Installing ultrasn0w with active At&t SIM card in place?

Quick question guys, I am on the last step of unlocking my iphone with an active at&t SIM. With the SIM still in, I have upgraded cydia and added the repo code into it. I have ultrasn0w waiting to be installed, but question now is, I have turned off 3G, should I install ultrasn0w....turn off phone, eject at&t SIM and put my t-mobile SIM in?

I have an active at&t SIM card in so I could get the full MMS and push experience on t-mobile (just in case anyone was wondering )

It doesn't matter*. Install it with the AT&T or TMo SIM in. After install, put the SIM you want to use in and reboot the phone. It may even require you to toggle the flight mode on/off when it boots back up too.

Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. It can be finicky a little at times when you switch SIMs. But once it establishes the signal/connection, usually, everything's good.

    * assuming you have WiFi connection to connect and install from Cydia. If you don't have WiFi, then of course you have to have your AT&T SIM in to have data connection to install. And then your sequence is the right one to follow.

I'm assuming he's already activated since he's installing stuff via Cydia.

i left my unactivated AT&T sim in there until i got through downloading ultrasn0w. Once that was done, I turned off my phone, took off the AT&T sim card and put in my T-Mobile sim card and it worked.

Well, I got my t-mobile SIM card in now. The phone recognized the network, but when I try to send a text, it will fail. Wonder if I need to change anything in the "CELLULAR DATA NETWORK" settings?

yes you will need to set all the APNs. I don't know what they are off hand, esp. the MMS one. I think the Data one is epc.tmobile.com.

Well I am able to send and receive texts and phone calls. The only thing that won't connect is the safari browser.

    Cellular Data:
    APN -
    Username -
    Password -

These would be the where I put in the specific values? Couldn't I just call "T" technical support and ask them for this info?
