Speed seems to be faster later at night than during the day. Costa Mesa, CA. Signal strength: 1 bar.

Got my first taste of 4G:

Very snappy performance when on WiMAX, though couldn't get much of any signal. When I was inside in the area (1200 block Colorado Blvd) I was switching between a very weak 3G signal and a very weak 4G signal...then again, the place I was at had WiFi.

I'll be in San Antonio tomorrow night. WiMAX has been launched there for awhile now. Will see what speeds are like there...
SERO + Android = win. HSPA+ also = win, but it isn't available everywhere :/

Was in Alhambra (California) visiting friends, and at around the intersection of Valley and Garfield, got this speed:

Couldn't connect to 4G while at my friend's place, however.

Have you tried using the Speedtest.net app on your phone? While reliable, the Xtremelabs test on the iPhone also seems to give upload results that are not as high as the Ookla Speedtest app.

I am in Columbus, OH. Started getting 4G downtown about 4 months ago. Download is pretty good, the average being 3-6mb download and 1mb upload. Sure is a big difference from the 3G I was getting. I also just started getting 4g at my house which is about 3 miles from downtown. Was not able to get signal before so they must be rolling it out quietly in Columbus OH since this is supposed to be one of Verisons kick off points with there 4G.
