    Post Your 4G WiMAX speeds

My fastest so far was in NW Portland, Oregon. The average around the metro area over the last 6 months has been 6-10Mbps.

My Sprint U300 recognizes the network but will not connect to it...yet.

Let's hear from Vegas and Atlanta.

Wow, that upload is more like it!!

And the only difference is using the Sprint modem instead of the Clearwire modem?
    Thrill me...

I thought that the max speed on Clear was ~6Mbps? How are you getting so much more than that? (Am I missing something?...)

6Mbps is the stated "up to" just like Sprint 3G is deemed as 600k "up to" 1.4Mbps. The difference being it is common to reach or exceed the 6Mbps threshold with the 4G WiMAX dongle. There are popular spots around Portland that I regularly get 10Mbps or higher showing on speedtest.net & speakeasy tests repeatedly.

I've ran countless speed tests only because I'm traveling all around the metro area 100+ miles! leaving my notebook connected continuiously. This not what a typical subscriber would demand from it, but none the less I wanted to know what the limitations are thus far.

It seems that Clear has limited uploads so far in every market to 512k, while the Sprint U300 is much higher so far in Baltimore and Portland. Not sure yet what Comcast's USB dongle performs like.

Mall 205 parking lot Sprint U300 data card 11:04am

I did phone Sprint asking about the higher pings and slightly less signal strength compared to Clear's Motorola data card today. They had very little info in "special technical support"? anyway they are getting back to me later today.

Sprint claims "up to 12Mbps" which is accurate. I can get just over 13Mbps in certain parts of town at times.

Well, at least Sprint will have released a 4G Android phone by then if that's your thing. I just want the data card my self.
