I had continued to have issues with Wifi turning off, and also GPS turning on every time I powered up the phone. For the time being, I've gone back to hotweiss's Ion ROM. None of these things are happening with that ROM.
The GPS will turn on when you turn on your phone, most likely due to the fact that a 3rd party app is requesting; including Google if you selected that option. As far as the wifi is concerned, you are using your phone and your wifi simply turns off?
