The biggest drawback of the lite version is the lack of Landscape support. Neither versions support OS3 Push; the promised, new version (2.1) of it, which is due to be approved sometime in July, will, according to the developer, support it already.
It has some other, major annoyances too; for example, the lack of being able to log into the same network with more than one account and the ability to quickly en/disable accounts for subsequent logins. All in all, in its current form, I don’t really recommend it.
Palringo [Lite] 2.0 definitely supports multiple accounts on AIM/ICQ/iChat and Yahoo (don't know for sure regarding anything besides Facebook, AIM, and Y!, seeing as I don't use most IM networks) but not 'logging into the same account on your iPhone and your computer/other device' (besides AIM/ICQ/iChat, because it's supported by the server itself, Y! doesn't allow multi-location/device logins). ADDENDUM: You didn't post that you tested and confirmed this in an update post....
Palringo has some location support, primarily to be displayed in status messages and broadcasted to other Palringo users (groups chat, etc).
What exactly do mean by 'quickly en/disable accounts for subsequent logins?' I can enable or disable accounts fairly quickly by hitting the account, hitting availability, then 'offline' or 'online.'
Also, there is no 'non-lite' version of the app in the US Store either... yet. From what 2.0 looks like, it'll probably come out with the 2.1 version of the lite app.
The pre-2.0 version of the app (when it was still considered non-'Lite') is completely different than the 2.0 version, and IMO, a lot better.
