W705 SEUS Update not available after sucessfully changed CDA!!! ???

I! I have a SE w705 locked to rogers. CID 0053. I successfully changed the CDA from 1221-8224-r9a (original) to generic AMERICA 1209-4778 r7a but i'm unable to load the new firmware from SEUS. It still says that no new update are available. I do NOT have the option to do it anyway or force un update of some kind.

Can someone help me debrand my w705?

for CDA you can use to check it:

On standby screen press *, right, *, left, left, *, left, *. Go to Service info, Software info and scroll down to Customization.

You might have the wrong CDA. Try changing it to another CDA.

Instead of using SEUS to update your phone, consider looking into upgrading your phone to W715. Oh wait....you can't downgrade CID....

I found firmware MAN an FS for my phone but I did'nt found any america custom pac (custpack) yet so i'm stuck using Rogers branding. Anyone have another suggestion?

you can use pretty much any custompack, it's not so important. the MAIN is what's critical; make sure it's "GENERIC" and you will be fine!

geokilla, the newest version of a2uploader can flash CID53 now.

As I'm really not familiar with debranding phones, and custumize pack, can I flash my phone only with AMERICA main AND fs, (without customize pack , then use the CDA / SEUS trick to update my phone? Will this work?

Most likely the CDA you used is wrong. Try creating a customize_upgrade.xml file using this and then try again with SEUS.

I DID use this. The fact is that some fimware seem to block upgrades with this trick.

I want AMERICA so the CDA was
1209-4778 R6A for the w705.

Nobody seem to get their phone debrand with this AMERICA CDA. Maye your right but I don't know the good CDA for AMERICA then. I also need Canadian french language so i'm pretty stuck using AMERICA.

Notice there is 2 lines for CDA and firmware:

Like I said I downloaded firmware MAIN GENERIC ans FS but I'm missing the custimize_pack that goes for the AMERICA. I'm not familiar using another language / operator cust pack...

Thanks for all your help so far on W705. I'm in the exact same situation as raidsm. The FS and MAIN that I used are:

W705_R1DA032_FS_AMERICA_RED53
W705_R1DA032_MAIN_GENERIC_RK_RED53

The problem seems to be missing CDA in SE CDA File Maker for AMERICA (mine is now I think NAM_1 for North America 1)

CDA list are'nt update as fast as I want!

As soon as a good NAM1 AMERICA generic CDA get's out for us to use SEUS I'll go for it. Flashing with a firmware without a proper custum pack make me nervous!

Hey Aryajoon , have you considered using Davinci ? for 15$ I think it's great but i'm pretty sure a generic america CDA will come out soon for us to use with SEUS.

just wondering if you found a solution to your problem. i have the w705a from rogers, been trying for a little while to debrand it. i have the same cda you got but the sony ericsson update service still says i have the latest software. any solutions?
