i365

have they discontinued the motorola i365? i've been to 3 different sprint retailers and nobody has it in stock. i can only find it online. i want to hold it in my hand and try it out before i buy it. if its discontinued will they be replacing it with another rugged bar type phone in the near future?

You can always buy it & try it for 30 days. You might also find someone who has a display or "dummy" model.

Most stores aren't going to stock a slow moving phone in inventory.... they're taking dollars that could otherwise be used to stock a phone that's more in demand & would turn over more quickly.

To my knowledge, it's not on any End Of Life lists.

Does the i365 support autodownload for text like the i880? Or it is more like the i580 where you have to manually download each received text?

The text auto downloads.This phone would be the best Nextel ever made in my opion if it had the screen of the i580 and the backlight would stay on when charging.The speaker on the i365 is the loudest I have ever had through Nextel.

Just curious, but what is the benefit of having the backlight stay on during charging? I remember your thread concerning this, but haven't figured it out.

I agree about the speakerphone. That thing is loud and clear with plenty of bass. The build quality is also outstanding! Like you, however, I wish it had a better screen and a calculator out of the box.

since it was released I have never found a store that actually carried it. I ordered mine online and would never even thought of returning it, it's by far the best nextel phone I have ever used!

does anybody know if any of the accessories on sprints website for the i365IS can be used with the i365? I wanna install a car antenna kit with my i365 but I notice that they are only listed for the IS model!

Slumber Pass,the reason why I like the backlight is I like know when the battery is done charging.Maybe I am crazy but I have always had long battery life's on all of my phone by not over charging a battery.When to charging is done off the charger my phones goes.
