the latest update of itunes totally screwed me over, when i pluged my phone in and clicked on my phone in itunes the bar at the bottom that shows you how much audio, video, apps, pics you have and the other and how much is free was all screwed up , it showed no audio and said that "other" was 4.55 gb which if theresis no audio there was no way the other could be that much without audio on my phone i basically have all 7 gbs free, cuz my audio was 3.96 gb , so i tried syncing my audio back, but it was saying cannot sync not enough space , because the "other" was already at 4.55 gb so im like wtf happened, and could not see anyway to fix it, so i uninstalled the new itunes got the older version back and restored my phone and it all worked fine , i havnt had problems since, so now im like screw the new itunes update , i was just fine with the old one this new one did not help but gave me problems i never had.

Does anyone else feel like we have become conditioned to think that we MUST keep things updated? I bet anything, nothing even minutely better with the update. Probably a update to fix a bug which most people aren't having problems with in the first place.

All the update did was make the palm pre unable to sync with iTunes.

So I take it, for those of us with jailbroken and unlocked iPhones...shouldn't be worried about updating to the new iTunes

I agree with you , it's almost like we get scared something bad will happen if you don't have the latest update, which turns out in mine and a few others case just the opposite happened , we updated and things got worse. I think I'll stick with the saying " If it ain't broke don't fix it"

I rent to want to be the furst to update everything. But itunes is a little different. I read that the upfate as stated previously was to block the pre from syncing and take away the tethering option from attt if you uodated the mms/tether file.

So I have stayed away from it
