Question about using Asurion

Long story short brothers LG Chocolate 2 VX8550 screen broke.

We have asurion and I see on my verizon where we can file the claim. I just want to make sure I get what is going to happen.

So you fill out the information and then Asurion will send the phone out or will vzw? The thing is my brother got his phone last year when they were getting rid of the Chocolate 2 because of the Chocolate 3. Since that has been a year I don't think they'll have any VX8550 replacements.

So then does asurion just list phones then that he can get as replacements?

If he did not like the the phones that were offered could he go into a vzw store file the claim there and then pay a price difference?

I'm new at this so I'm not sure how it all works out.

Asurion will do it. If you are not sure about the phone, you can probably call them and get it done over the phone and discuss what phone they might send as a replacement. The LG Chocolate 2 is enough of a recent phone for them to still have at least some refurbished units to send out, but it can differer from time to time and perhaps the fulfillment center they use.

Asurion stock is completely unrelated to what is currently in verizons line up. You will be recieving a refurbished phone which is why they will most likely still have them in stock (especially with how popular the vx8550 was)

My cousin got an EnV3 recently and said my brother can use his old EnV till he can get a new phone at 2 year. Which is in March.

If he doesn't like the EnV he can always go the Asurion route. I believe there was a $50 dedectable he would have to pay.

***-urin has a ton of phones. You have to go through the filing a claim process to see if the phone you want/have is available and then if you don't finalize the claim in a month it is deleted out of the system or you can cancel it while your on the phone.

But they have TONS of phones. The still had the old xv6700 in july. I wanted the 6800 but they still had 6700's in stock and they are 4 or 5 years old.
