I received the phone in the mail today (ebay purchase), activated using dealer on ebay (need 20+ post to get free activation from dealers in this forum). I wasn't sure if activation would work when I see the "special call" for activation screen on the phone when I first turned it on. To my surprise, it went smoothly. Voice, SMS and data worked without requiring manual programming. The only issue I have now is the phone number assigned is Florida area code while I am in Los Angeles area.
I've got a RIM Blackberry Pearl Flip 8230. It's a used Verizon model. I just found an awesome tech support guy who flashed it to Page Plus and gave me an hour's worth of airtime for freeSo I've got a new phone number and a working phone, but I'm not ready to take the plunge into the 1200 + 50 Mb data until I understand more about the the programming that's required to get data, internet and GPS working on the Blackberry. Looking forward to having email access from anywhere, while not being locked in to an overpriced contract.

I'm using an HTC Ozone. Voice quality is great, reception is great (no cut ins / cut outs like the Samsung Smooth), and I have full access to the Internet and my gmail account. Since this phone defaults first to Wifi, I'm amazed how little data I use since I have WiFi at home and work (where I spend 90% of my time).
I'd be paying $90/month for the same features with VZ that I receive from PP for $29.99!
New PP user here, woot. Ported env3 over and works great. Just need to figure out how to get internet working.
Saving $60 a month now!
enV touch on PP here. Internet works (and if you message me Bob I'll explain how to get it working), and MMS seems to be working as well. Life's good for $39.95! Now if only I had Mobile IM; it'd be perfect..

LG AX300 wont activate on pageplus via *22890 any ideas or activation codes?email me @gmail.com
I have an VX5500 which was my first foray into PagePlus (bought new from Walmart). Works fine on voice and text after OTA, waiting for a microusb cable so I can try to fix the data (which does not work without changes)
Happy with PagePlus service, decided to buy a phone with a keyboard, and one of the cheapest I could find was Moto Q9, on Ebay for $40 shipped in good condition. It came as expected and is in pretty good condition (even had the extended battery and a car charger) and that also activated OTA fine. Text and data worked too, the only thing I couldn't get to work at first glance was PocketMSN or MSN Messenger (as built into the phone). But that's not important to me, anyway.
So my wife said she wants a touch screen keyboard phone (like the Centro) so I'm trying to secure a Palm 700P or 700WX (seems like they are also around $40 on Ebay). Once I get everything ported over from Sprint and working OK on those phones, I'll probably try going up the chain to a newer phone.
Does Palringo offer a viable IM solution for your enV?Originally Posted by vermontcellboy

Oops, no Java. Sorry Charlie looks like you have a butchered Verizon phone. Something a little more open will be necessary. Palm device or hackable Moto or {cringe} winmo.
Commenting on the VX5500 -- just a little work with BitPim and cable as described in the wiki and you can have some semblance of a connection. I found it to be rather disappointing but was able to get into hotmail via the rinky dink browser.
New Page Plus user as well. Just activated a VX5500 as a spare phone and to get some experience with PP before possibly switching over.
I am actually very impressed with the phone (for what it is), it has a nice quality feel and is fairly user-friendly.
