Verizon Palm Pixi Plus on Page Plus Cellular

I have successfully navigated a Verizon Palm Pixi Plus onto PagePlusCellular.

    Steps I took.
    1) Buy Pixi Plus from Palm Store.

    2) Bypass activation. I needed to build new rom and flash it into the phone. I used meta-doctor, here is a step by step guide.
    http://forums.precentral.net/palm-pr...ation-etc.html
I used the same Makefile options except for using pixi instead of pre and verizonwireless instead of sprint
I also had to create a new patch for the PixiPlus for Verizon by doing the following before I did the "make" command
    cd patches
    ln -s pre-p100eww-sprint-1.3.5 pixi-p121eww-verizonwireless-1.3.5.1

    3) Put phone in Airplane mode, enabled WiFi and Ran "First Use" to create a Palm Profile. I couldn't get past the Gesture Tutorial and had to close it, but it seems to have done all the important stuff before that point. This could probably be done later as well.

    4) Call PP Customer Support to activate and port. Their web site refused to let me do this online. Unfortunatly ustomer support is very busy so expect to have to dial many times and wait on hold. But everyone I talked with was very competent and helpful once you reach them.

    5) Call PP Customer Support to verify port is complete. You might be able to skip this and just try and activate, but I called them to confirm it was completed.

    6) Dial *22890 to activate.

    7) Create a PP Account on their website.

    8) Add this phone to the PP Account. This sends an SMS code to phone which you have to enter onto their site.

    9) Add minutes or T+T Plan to Phone using their web site.

    10) Made a phone call to finish activation. Had to select a language and they told me my VM passcode.

Voice, Text and Data all worked at the end of this.

sounds tempting, but $400 is a bit much for a smartphone

Back on topic... I'm using a Samsung Omnia i910

I'm using my spanking new Samsung omnia 2 SCH-1920 WINDOWS mobile smartphone on Pageplus Cellular service and everything works spectacular. The only issue I'm having is the phone uses lots of Data so I had to switch to WIFI not a biggy though.

    Samsung I 910 today

Life's Journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting, 'Holy s**t.. What a Ride!! '
