I'm using a Moto W385 & VX8550, the w385 has the best reception compared to any phone I have ever owned. I live in a huge soup bowl

The stock LG browser on my 8500 does not meet gmail's technical requirements.
how'd get the internet to work on vx8500? i couldn't make it work! sorry, if this query is in wrong section of the forum.

Just bought the samsung i760 off ebay. Still waiting for it. Intend to activate on page plus. Do all your features work? Wifi work? Any issues or tips on activating and programming with page plus I should be aware of. Your help appreciated. Thanks.

yeah works rt out the box . tip dont put stuff on phone use a sdcard for everything cause it will slow dwn real quick . second dont bother looking for custom roms there aren't any cause theres a flash limit or some thing i really like mine . dont put a weather app on there cause it will always be connecting to internet and end up sucking all ur data

Thanks. Your other posts says to do a hard reset. I am a newb to smart phones but do know what that is. However, is that needed even if the phone is brand new never used out of box? Sorry for the dumb question. Any advice on best price sd cards? Thanks much.

I am using a Motorola z6c world phone. Need to start looking for an economical unlocked world smart phone so I can carry my calendar and task list around, view Microsoft office files and use the phone in Asia and Europe on the GSM network...

Me, my wife and daughter are using VZW prepaid phones.
I've been watching Craigslist and ebay for bargains on VZW postpaid contract phones. So far, in 3 weeks I've came up with 4. One, a LG VX4400 I used to replace my grandsons Smooth that got washed. I gave $5 for that one on CL. Its kinda beat up but you shoulda seen what he did to his Smooth.
I bought another 4400 off ebay for $15, its a refurb in near perfect shape with a new battery. Today I bought a LG VX5300 for $10 off CL. Finally my mother in law gave me her "old" Moto W315 from the "new for two" deal, its in perfect shape with very low time on the meter.
Kitty tells me all the ESNs are eligible for PPC activation.

You have to unlock the WAP settings with software (if they are locked to Verizon), and then enter the pageplus proxy settings in the programming menu (push Menu then 0, then 000000 code). You can get all the right settings in the tech-phone threads. Do NOT reset the browser in the programming menu or it will relock to VZ settings and you will have to start over. Update: Although there has been a compatible BREW version of Opera Mini since 12/07, there does not seem to be a legal way to load it because of the BREW DRM. Some 8500s can check gmail but mine can't, even tho I have all the same pageplus WAP settings, so I am still looking for the right browser prefs.
