iPhone 4. I was told no web would work, but I'm 3G sailing. Nice!
Iphone 4 works great everything works on it i just got mine actvaited the other days web talk and txt work with it. When i went into the b2 wireless store to have them switch my service to the iphone they was like u cant use iphones on pp i was like bs my g/f just did hers the other day so they did it and it worked fine.
Not yet a PagePlus customer, but I just bought the PalmPixiPlus. Planning to activate it through howardforums, so yep. hopefully I'll love it.
I was using Palm phones (both pixi plus and pre plus), and pixi plus is an excellent phone for use as a phone and for SMS. Small and light, and Webos is great... Occasional wifi use is also great...
I did move to Motorola Droid 2 global.. Although I loved Palm phones, I wanted an off-line gps navigation capability. NDrive 11 is available on Palms, but didn't work well with on board GPS... On Droid 2 global, Copilot works fine, with all other features.. it is just bigger and heavier..
a few $50-$60 phones for Talk, Text, & MMS w/ no Data...if that's possible (or Data turned off). I'm looking for phones that offer 'more bang for the buck' than the $40 Kyocera G2GO M2000 on PagePlus that was released in April 09 - Slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 1.3 MP camera, Color display (2.4" QVGA). Details & Specs
I'm unfamiliar w/ the specs of phones over the past couple of years. I was under the impression Samsung was a top-tier brand, but after reading this thread from Feb 2010 to today. There's not a lot of Samsung posts.
My wife prefers the Slide-out QWERTY keyboard w/ a better camera than 1.3 MP, and a larger screen than 2.4". A good battery & solid reliability is most important to me. Trying to get phone(s) that we'll be able use more of the newer technology as we become accustomed to it.
Prefer new, yet eBay, Cowboom, CL are options. Any other sources and/or reviews? I know about CNET, Amazon. Having trouble figuring out good search terms for eBay. Typed in "new samsung cdma verizon phones qwerty keyboard" on eBay yesterday & got 8 hits. I'm a little behind the curve wrt narrowing the search. We just need to get rid of our dinosaur T-Mobile prepaids and start saving money.
Our dog chewed through the charger cord.

I'm trying out a used HTC Droid incredible. I got it for $89.99 from Mobile Karma (aka Recellular). I ordered it last Saturday and it arrived this past Wednesday. It came in a flimsy box via First Class Mail and could have been packaged better. The screen is pretty scratched up. I did the esn change tonight without any issues. The battery life so far has been disappointing compared to that of my Motorola OG Droid.
The Droid X might be better, but I don't know if I can stand its
monstrous size (I carry my phone in a belt holster).
I used a Droid Incredible on PP for almost a year. works great, but you have to root it first which you might have done already. Unrevoked works quickly on that model. Then you can turn off the bloatware that might be causing your battery problems. You also can turn off the bluetooth when not in use with a widget on the home screen, it's a battery sucker. I would get one day out of the battery no problem. charge each night. Then i went to the incredible 2, better battery time bigger screen. If you haven't rooted it yet take the plunge, verizon has so much crud on there your data will be too much. got to droidwall that stuff to a grinding halt
I'm always roaming for some reason. Given that it's a Sprint phone on Pageplus, I can understand the difficulties. But answering/calling always spits out a roaming error message box. This wasn't the case when I had the original Motorola Droid on PP. I'm thinking it's a PRL issue (the one on my MotoDroid seems to be higher than the one currently on my E4GT)..
Can someone point me in the right direction? I'm not interested in getting MMS to work, just basic talk and text without roaming.
I have been using Moto Droid 3 on Page Plus for several months. This phone is great. Things I like: very clear voice calling, good strong signal - both WiFi and Verizon, a lot of built in memory (not including the memory card slot), and most importantly the keyboard. Camera is poor, however, camera apps off of android market help considerably. Only real complaint with phone is battery drains too quick. I have read other forums where some people have complained about keyboard letters not working properly. I have not had this problem.
The activation was easy and required no modifications to phone.
I am on America's Largest and Most Reliable Wireless Network. Thank you Page Plus.

Your post gave me encouragement as I just bought a Droid 3 and will activate it on PP. This is my first smart phone. I've been with Verizon since 05 and I wanted to "move up" but my bill would have gone from ~$53 to 80+. At PP I'll be able to actually reduce my cell phone bill and move into the smart phone arena!
I notice you also have a droid x. What are the differences between the 3 and the x?
A used HTC Incredible 1 for $70, no scratches on the Gorilla Glass. Cyanogenmod 7, still easy to root but you now have to use a slightly modified procedure. I'm on the yearly PIN for $77 w Calingmart coupon. Droidwall and 3G Watchdog control data use. I put Copilot 8 on it for turn-by-turn (uses no data). Ivona speaks the street names, Choice Dialer+ Free for voice dialing (uses no data). Walmart has a great windshield mount for $8. Super smooth and fast, never lags, great wifi. Swype and Opera Mobile are awesome. Zeam launcher, Fancy Widgets clock.

Glasspilot,
Congrats on purchasing the Droid 3. I think this is the best Verizon phone with a keyboard that is allowed on Page Plus. Regarding your question: http://www.phonearena.com/reviews/Mo...ROID-X2_id2790
This compares the Droid 3 to the Droid X2 (Droid X2 has dual-core processor where as Droid X does not, otherwise very similar phone). Easy breakdown: Droid X2 has larger screen, Droid 3 had twice the internal memory 16 gb vs 8 gb, and most importantly the Droid 3 has a physical keyboard.
Currently, I am running a Droid 2 Global on PP with no issues whatsoever!
In the past, I have activated the following phones on PP: LG Dare (had to hack it to get the internet working), HTC Eris, Samsung Fascinate, and the Droid X. The Droid X, Eris, and Droid 2 Global gave me no issues whatsoever in activating, and all features work or worked with no problems. Although, with at least the Droid X and maybe the Droid 2 Global, I had to dial *228 (and not *22890) to activate it.
Does anyone know if the Droid Razr works on PP yet? And, if so, does it get 4G signal?

Just go to your settings, wireless, roaming, roaming guard, then uncheck all the boxes.
