    hi
i am using a blackberry 8830 with voice, text, BIS and BB browser working flawlessly (got Opera though for internet). just wished the internet would be a little faster (this BB is not using the Rev.A evdo), and i wish it had some sort of data tracker. anybody have any idea about a good program to track the data used by the phone so I don't go over the 20MB? wish PP had unlimited internet for extra $10 like Boost.

I just activated a LG VX 8550 chocolate 2 for a customer with wap and mms. I used the same wap directions for the VX 5500 and it worked.

Did you check the Wiki? There is a ton of information there.

These are quotes from the wiki page I linked for you.
    2. MMS works except for Blackberry.
I don't understand what is not specific enough. You want PROOF MMS will not work? Now I am not saying its IMPOSSIBLE, but AFAIK, nobody has yet posted a way to do it.
    5. Blackberry BIS BES is not supported. Major hacking is required to get the BB browser to work with regular data, or an alternate browser such as Opera Mini needs to be installed.
Again, this sums up the situation pretty well. You can use non-BIS data, but you will have to hunt down the procedures and decide if you are adept enough to follow them. People are not necessarily going to spoon feed the information to you for your custom requirements.

It's hardly major hacking -- once you have the generic service books, it's as simple as a key sequence and BBDM sync.

    http://bb.anworm.com/Home/english walks you through it.

MMS, I can't help you with. My BB doesn't support it... I was hoping for at least a notification of somesort and maybe a working URL, but I had a friend send me something and I never got it or any indication that it didn't go through.... I guess this is common to all BBs
